Job Description
Purpose:
The role of Sr Director, Infrastructure Delivery (for North America and Strategic Global Programs), is responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of Infrastructure Services in support of PepsiCo’s North American business unit objectives, as well as strategic global technology modernization, standardization, and lifecycle management objectives. This includes managing successful outcomes of engagements for infrastructure services delivery with PepsiCo’s strategic partners and suppliers, coordination and prioritization of demand with the business relationship managers, and accountability for running the Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) practice with the goal of modernizing and refreshing PepsiCo’s infrastructure assets globally in partnership with Architecture, Engineering, Security and Operations teams.
Accountabilities:
• Accountable for end to end infrastructure project delivery across multiple strategic programs in North America, as well as in support of Global Infrastructure Transformation programs
• Ensure that solutions deployed are consistent with IT Architecture and Engineering standards for network, compute, cloud and security
• Work as a liaison between architects/engineers and business relationship managers to articulate and translate business requirements and corresponding technology solutions and drive alignment across stakeholders.
• Lead the Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) practice globally including asset refresh prioritization and cost estimation, while leveraging regional Infrastructure delivery teams for local execution
• Implement standard and improved processes and tools to improve the quality and efficiency of Infrastructure delivery based on ITIL methodology. Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
• Owns project delivery performance with internal teams, third parties and strategic partners
• Communicate project updates and status via regular project performance scorecards with project sponsors and stakeholders
• Improve the handoff process to the IT Operations team for seamless transition from project completion to ongoing sustain
Qualifications/Requirements
Skills and Experience Required:
• Bachelor's Degree Required (computer science, computer engineering, or information systems)
• 15 or more years of technology and IT experience, with minimum of 10 years in IT Infrastructure services in delivery and/or architecture and engineering and/or Operations domains
• Comprehensive understanding of local and wide area networks and topologies, compute and storage technologies, voice and video communications platforms, end-user device technologies, as well as collaboration/sharing platforms
• Experience with on-premise to cloud migration, automated orchestration and provisioning of infrastructure services, hybrid-cloud management, and software defined networking a huge plus and highly desired.
• Proven ability in managing large scale infrastructure refreshes, consolidating and modernizing technology footprints, cloud integration and migration, and network traffic/capacity optimization
• Ability to lead multiple internal and vendor teams effectively, manage deliverables and outcomes through multiple managed service providers, and oversee annual budget in the $30 to $50 million range.
• Conceptual selling to present architecture recommendations in a simple, compelling, business relevant manner with clear impact analysis, as well as excellent collaboration and influencing skills to drive compliance to architecture standards and guidelines across the enterprise
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as executive presentation finesse
