Sr. Director, Operations (Radiology Informatics)
In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Play a critical role on the Radiology Informatics (RI) leadership team driving operational excellence from customer order through the life of the contract. Our ambition is to grow to a half billion dollar business over the next two to three years. This role includes managing, scaling and delivering profitability improvements, and leading programs including customer lifecycle management, service excellence, supply chain, business intelligence, product security programs, network operations, data center management, strategic/financial planning and budget management.
This is a global role and involves dealing directly with customers and suppliers to understand their pain points and to inject insights upstream into development to deliver an optimal, and profitable imaging managed service for both the customer and the business unit. The successful candidate will have experience working with multiple geographies, marketing, sales, suppliers and partners and service to drive business unit operational excellence. This role reports to the General Manager.
The ideal candidate has SW/IT technology experience in Healthcare, and understanding and experience of delivering a managed service.
You are responsible for:
• Lifecycle Operations: Develops strategies, processes & procedures, training and key performance indicators (KPI) around how we manage our installed base assets. This includes servicing, patching, refreshing, monitoring, anti-virus, and other areas that may have an impact on our managed service customers.
• Service Innovation and Operational Excellence: Partner with Customer Service Operations to align and drive service improvements around key performance indicators. Collaborate with Software Development, Systems Engineering, Product Management to innovate and support continuous improvement around deployment and servicing in our install base. As part of our new product introduction, oversee the service deployment testing before volume distribution to our customers.
• Supply Chain: Manage order realization, including hardware and software purchasing and supply management. Works closely with Philips procurement to continuously reduce our cost of goods, upgrade our supply base and contract negotiations. This includes collaborating with R&D on design to drive increasing profitability.
• Data Center Operations: Manage global data centers and service network infrastructure (WAN) to enable customer support and archived studies.
• Business Intelligence: Lead the business intelligence programs to provide a trusted data source for enabling access to and analysis of information to improve and optimize business decisions and performance.
• Strategic/Financial Planning & Budget Management: Provide the cost of goods annual financial plan and ongoing monitoring along with the budget and management to the budgets for all departments under Operations.
• Security and Privacy Operations: Oversee the security and privacy program to ensure we are meeting or exceeding security and privacy standards. Partners with the Philips Global Product Security Office and Privacy office on strategic Philips initiatives.
• Team Leadership: Hiring, developing and motivating a diverse team of technical and operations professionals.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience:
• Minimum of 15+ years managing business operations experience in large enterprise company with a track record of improving profitability.
• Minimum of 5+ years leading at Director level in a mid-large sized company.
• Ideal candidate will have imaging technology experience, ideally in the healthcare imaging and or imaging informatics space.
• Ideal candidate will have experience working in a managed service / software as a service business
• Experience leading strategic planning and annual operating plan management, including effectively collaborating across multiple business units, and functions---product management, technology, marketing, sales and customer operations.
• Proven ability to influence and deliver through others and in a complex, global, matrix organization.
• Ability to lead, motivate and coach high performing teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, business management or operations area; MBA preferred.
• Outstanding organizational, communication, interpersonal, relationship building skills conducive to collaboration; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation
• Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.
