Description
The Sr. Director of Product Management is responsible for leading the development of a new, next generation and cost reduction for the Pod. The role will work collaboratively with other function to ensure we deliver system innovation.
What you will do:
• Lead the extended cross functional team in development of a new, next generation POD technology.
• Develop overall strategy and business case for new platform including size of prize incremental volume, pricing and cost targets and set key financial measures including NPV and ROI.
• Create and manage a 5 year product roadmap working with innovation and insights to create a consumer focused product plan.
• Partner with consumer insights on deep understanding of consumer needs and beverage requirements
• Develop consumer targets and validate product concepts and positioning against targets.
• Explore external technology and commercial opportunities for partnership in development of new platform.
• Develop a strategy and solution of cost take down activities.
• Work with a cross functional team to execute on cost take downs and program implementation.
• Determine portion pack and finished beverage requirements and partner with technology on options to deliver requirements and meet key beverage requirements including sensory appeal.
• Develop portfolio strategy that maximizes platform potential for pods.
• Partner with brand team, appliance team on development of positioning into key messaging hierarchy and visual identity including new beverage brands as required.
• Liaise and communicate with Senior Management and other key stakeholders.
• Lead additional projects related to the appliance and pod eco system.
• Follow all Keurig Dr Pepper policies and procedures.
Qualifications
What you must have:
• 10+ years’ experience in product management, experience with new product development required.
• Master’s in Business Administration Strongly Preferred.
• Technical background and experience.
• Knowledge of at least one of the following areas: Brewer category, component integration, product packaging, Consumer electronics or Product Management required.
• Financial acumen and understanding of the P&L.
• Follow business performance indicators and proactively bring recommendations.
• Experience with analyzing data and coming up with recommendations.
• Commercial experience a strong plus.
• Superior communications and influence skills.
• Critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work in a team atmosphere.
• Self-starter with an eye for detail.
• Ability to uphold safety standards, participate in continuous process improvement on the job, and follow best practices.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
