Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc., and the world's largest publisher of adventure games, including Magic: The Gathering® Trading Card Game and Dungeons & Dragons® Roleplaying Games has an exciting opportunity for a HR Director to join our Human Resources team.
The Role
At Wizards, it’s our mission to bring people together through their shared love of games. As the HR Directorfor our digital teams, it is this role’s mission to design people solutions that enable our teams to build games for multiple platforms and diverse audiences. The HR Director is a relentless strategist with their finger on the pulse of the games industry and its talent. This role partners closely with peers in Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Legal and People Analytics inside both the Wizards and Hasbro ecosystems. The HR Director will act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, identifying organization structures, forecasting talent needs and proposing people programs that support an environment in which creative ideas thrive.
The Person
The ideal candidate is a business-oriented and data-driven HR leader with a strong track record of working with high-performance creative teams. We need someone who is savvy in partnering to bring new business initiatives from conception to completion. Leading by example, this person builds the credibility to influence and creates strong relationships to drive measurable business impact. This person is also balanced in their approach, using data, empathy and good judgment in problem solving. This person is committed to building a diverse and inclusive work environment where all employees can show up as their authentic selves.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree
• 10+ years of experience in human resources
• Experience in a large multinational company
• Proven track record in HR process improvement, project management and analytics
• Some domestic and international travel
Pluses
• Love of games
• Experience in entertainment software
