Group Director, Strategic Master Data Solutions - Customer

Position Overview:
This position anticipates, develops, and deploys ongoing master data strategy for a single domain (Customer, Product/Material, Equipment, or other) across the entire North America business system and all routes to market to ensure a common, single version of the truth. It is a visionary leader of a team that is accountable for defining and executing strategy, driving master data integrity, delivering both business and technical solutions, enabling strategic initiatives and supporting operational goals. It owns a master data domain’s common book of record and all supporting tools. The position will align and influence Senior Leaders and business partners that span across suppliers, bottlers, retailers, industry groups, and North America (e.g. R&D, Strategy, Marketing, Commercial, Manufacturing, Sales, etc).
Function Specific Activities:
Key Responsibilities:
• Leads development and deployment of a master data domain’s strategy and capability across CCNA and the NA Business System (Customer, Material/Product, Equipment, or other)
Aligns business function leadership, bottlers, distributors, and strategic initiatives to a common master data approach, hierarchies, and solutions.
Directly supports strategic business initiatives that rely on master data for their success.
Anticipates business needs and delivers master data business process and technology solutions.
• Drives and executes a NA Business System-wide approach to master data needs, issues, and solutions that delivers superior business performance, operations, reporting, and analytics.
Ensures and continuously improves harmonized process performance (standards, processes, hierarchy management, capabilities, data quality).
Owns and manages the NA domain “Book of Record” (informatica) and governs compliance across the NA Business System to “single source of truth” data, standards, processes, and metrics for common master data.
Leads domain hierarchy strategy and solutions and has dotted line engagement for any hierarchy maintenance currently performed in business functions such as CBS, CCNA Finance, UFP, etc.
Dotted line oversight of domain maintenance (harmonized fields only) across GBS, CCNA, CCR, Bottlers, etc.
• Leads communication and change management across the entire NA Business System, for internal and external business functions dependent on the domain’s master data single book of record.
• Represents The Coca-Cola Company in industry groups and initiatives to build capability in addition to providing thought and execution leadership to external and cross-business master data forums and consortiums.
Key Skills/Qualifications:
• Experience leading a team of business experts in the delivery of strategic imperatives
• Experience leading a highly technical team in the deployment of new and emerging capability deployment
• Strong leadership influencing skills
• Extensive experience with a master data domain
• Ability to lead complex projects and which enable strategic initiatives through data enablement
• Knowledge of key data systems: informatica, SAP P07/P08, SAP PR1, BASIS, Teradata, CONA, Northstar
MINIMUM:
• 8+ years experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry
• 5+ years in a team leadership role
• 5+ years project management
• 5+ years leading business projects that span multiple business functions
• 3+ years in a master data domain and/or domain data processes
• 2+ years leading projects requiring IT support
• Experience in developing business plans / business cases; strategic thinking (forward-looking vision and anticipating of future needs)
• Drives innovative business improvements
• Experience and comfort working directly with senior leaders; aligning senior execs w/ differing perspectives
• Effectively communicates & builds relationships at all organizational levels
• Advanced strategic thinking capability. Distills complex problems/ideas and convert into simple solutions
PREFERRED:
• 10+ years experience, preferably in the consumer goods/beverages industry
• 7+ years leading projects that span multiple business functions
• Advanced analytical and quantitative skills
• Knowledge of training development, design, and implementation
• 5+ years direct experience with SAP, Teradata, informatica, or other relevant information system experience
• 2+ years hierarchy management experience
• Responsibility for structure, hiring, reviews, terminations, and work priorities of a team of direct reports, and contract / part time employees.
