Senior Director, Advanced Manufacturing
In this role, you have the opportunity to
To manage an extensive multi -functional production organization with support departments.
Leads the production unit, related processes and staff in the development and execution of world class operational performance.
Develops programs, projects, goals, and metrics to lead the manufacturing organization to the highest level of operational performance. Prepares multi-year manufacturing operation and investment plans. Executes plan to reduce costs. Delivers products on time with high factory and supplier yields and decreasing product field failure rates. Ensures there is an optimum production process as regards routing, supplies and manpower levels. Maintain commitment to environmental and quality regulations. Supervises, selects, develops, coaches and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient manufacturing.
Manages pilot production and production preparation activities.
You are responsible for
• Co-ordinates footprint programs and establishes O2C archetypes to deliver against overall
Philips Strategy.
• Matches core/non-core manufacturing needs and capabilities and drives missing core knowledge build.
• Drives process technology roadmaps at Business Group level, connecting with manufacturing engineering leads in
Plants or via supplier development leads for outsourced activities.
• Aligns manufacturing process innovation with supplier component innovation.
• Develop strategy for core equipment and tooling suppliers to improve quality and drive down cost.
• Process capability improvement on 'best in class manufacturing processes' across the Business Units
• Work closely with Global Health Tech AME leader to drive synergies across Business Groups around our manufacturing technologies
• Manages investments in equipment, ensures robust follow up of capital approval processes and
execution of the projects.
• Manages functional cost to budget.
• Focus on innovation to enable productivity and flexibility.
• Manages the hand off processes between I2M and O2C by early involvement in new product
introductions.
• Central leverage of strengthened team to create critical mass for investment in knowledge and xBIU
support.
• Responsible for large footprint projects and transfers of manufacturing and IP between sites.
• Responsible to drive maximum asset utilization across common product lines globally to reduce
investment ratios.
• Drive process standardization around machine capacity management in the S&OP process.
• Drives manufacturing process design with built in quality and safety.
• Jointly drive improved yield rates in our automated processes.
• Identifies and develops talent within the organization.
• Capabilities build out for core knowledge areas. (potentially organized in CoE's)
You are a part of:
Monitoring & Analytics and Therapeutic Care Operations
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
• BS/MS in technical engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years’ + experience in relevant industry manufacturing engineering leadership roles.
• Role model leadership competencies including but not limited to: Leading change, Deliver results,
Driving operational excellence, Laser focus on customers and How to inspire by example.
• Multi-site plant Management/Leadership including senior operations roles.
• Experience in manufacturing operations both in products as well as systems business models.
• Successful track record of launching new products while meeting all planned time, quality and budget
targets.
• Fruitful execution of footprint strategy & projects
• Re-engineering of core process definitions.
• Delivery of new process technology.
• Built in quality check and balances through mistake proof process technology and processes
• CAPEX to budget ownership.
• Asset Utilization % and asset utilization at target.
• Succession planning design.
Your team:
You will be responsible for building a small core team of 2-4 members that will work with and leverage global resources on a project by project basis. You will also functionally work with the manufacturing engineering leaders in our operations
