Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies (JJMDC)’s Strategic Customer Group (SCG) is recruiting for a Director, Ambulatory Surgery Center Strategy. This position will be located either at Somerville, NJ or West Chester, PA. This position will primarily focus on supporting the strategy development and execution of key initiatives in to drive sustainable leadership of J&J Medical Devices in the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) site of care. It will report to ASC Strategy Director in the Strategic Customer Group. Significant travel (approximately 40%-70%) is required.

The incumbent in this role will partner with a cross-functional team in developing new strategies. The position will serve as a key bridge between JJMD ASC Strategy Director, Ethicon ASC strategy leader, commercial organization and several functions including supply chain, IT, finance, CareAdvantage solutions group, health & wellness teams. The incumbent will also be a key member of the Incubator/Innovation team responsible for helping develop and manage the ASC innovation pipeline, as well as graduating ideas from the Incubator Hub to the larger organization for commercialization.
Primary Responsibilities include:
• Responsible for collaborating with Ethicon ASC Strategy leader in co-creating the strategy for the Ethicon ASC organization and identifying future capabilities and go to market models that will drive innovative customer solutions and positive ROI
• Supporting the translation of long and short-term J&J medical device strategies into specific sales and marketing activities and approaches that supports Ethicon’s vision
• Work with various stakeholders in develop Ethicon specific ASC portfolio offerings, pricing & contracting strategy
• Partner closely with the Ethicon sales leadership team on executing a sales force deployment strategy to cover the ASC channel
• Provide critical leadership to align the JJMDC ASC vision with the activities associated with the Innovation agenda
• Provide thought leadership to the ASC initiative / innovation teams & cultivate the idea pipeline through the Enterprise Ecosystem and Induction.
• Provide leadership, guidance and development to team members on developing and executing Tactical Commercial Execution plans
• Lead and support customer engagement as needed to drive the innovation / Incubator agenda
• Interface with internal & external leaders, brings problems into the Enterprise Ecosystem & help develop Use Cases. Partners with Curator & other team members for presentation content development & delivery to sponsors, and other organizational leadership
• Helps foster a better Partner Network & manages external partnerships prior to a specific Incubator Hub launch
• Support the development of a technology enabled service model for ASCs including mapping service needs of ASCs identify current gaps, garner customer & leadership VOC on concept and applications, partner with appropriate stakeholders to develop concept & identify potential technologies, determine what service aspects can be covered by technology, build business case for concept and technology investment/partners & recommend development roadmap and investigate scalability
• Collaborate with regional and franchise marketing teams and support the development of JJMDC ASC value proposition, marketing collaterals and serve as a key partner to Professional Education team to develop education content for ASC customers

Qualifications
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree is required
• Candidates should have a proven track record of success with a minimum of 10 years cross functional experience in key commercial and customer facing roles.
• Demonstrated capabilities and traits for career path versatility to progress to other key roles are preferred.
• Strong influence management and very strong communication skills required.
• Strong demonstrated leadership skills are required.
• Demonstrated high level of commercial capabilities and clear cycles of success in prior commercial roles are required.
• Ability to maximize business opportunities and insights is required.
• Strong ability to innovate, collaborate and deliver results is required.
• Significant travel (approximately 40%-70%) is required, including external partner meetings, Innovation meetings, company meetings, training and field visits.
