This position is home-based in the Greater Los Angeles, California Metro area.
Role Summary
• To maximise revenue generation for the Bentley brand from the retail network whilst ensuring appropriate representation of the Bentley brand in all areas of Retailer operations and ensuring Retailer delivery of a premier customer experience.
• Specifically, the achievement of critical business targets through the region’s retail network – new car sales, pre-owned car and CPO sales (via Pre-owned Managers), stock management, off lease purchases, F&I sales (via BFS Regional Team), parts & accessory sales (via After Sales Managers), implementation of Local Marketing Strategy (with Retail Marketing Team) and Bentley Brand Standards (measured via Proficiency and Customer Experience Measurement).
• Management and Development of Regional Team/Business Unit including resource and budgets (including warranty policy via Aftersales Managers).
Role Responsibilities
Leadership
• Lead, manage, and influence the Retailers in the region – interfacing with all levels within the Retailer’s business – and ensure share of mind on the Bentley Brand within a multi-franchise system.
• Lead, motivate and guide corporate and regional staff (Marketing, Preowned, Financial Services, and Aftersales representatives) to ensure Company objectives are met and policies implemented.
• Initiate, mentor, and assist in the development of new external team members (notably Brand personnel at Retailers).
Operations
• Cascade company strategy, plan and initiatives effectively to Retailers; and develop a clear plan for the region to achieve its objectives for new and preowned sales, model and option mix, CEM, Market Share, and profitability.
• Manage stock, pipeline, and aged inventory with emphasis on alignment of supply with demand at the dealer and regional levels.
• Analyse and understand market evolution and competitor actions; provide company with comprehensive feedback.
• Review financial statement / composite with Retailers, and develop actions to improve the business and maximize profitability.
• Develop Retailers to the appropriate level of representation (e.g. brand standards, resources, floor plans, staff) and lead them towards future investment and development phases.
• Analyse and identify new business opportunities, and develop new business partners.
• Ensure Retailers work within company policies and procedures.
• Be the main company ambassador in the region representing Brand values at public, media, Retailer, and customer events; and support the proactive resolution of Retailer and customer issues / concerns.
• Provide dealership training on product, systems, processes, and strategy.
Marketing
• Work closely with the Marketing team to ensure alignment of Brand strategy and the execution of marketing activities within the region.
• Responsible for generating and updating local Marketing plans with Brand specific Retailer demand generation activities that support achievement of sales targets.
• Ensure best practices and cost efficiency opportunities are adopted and shared.
Skills & Experience & Education
• Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in Business or Management.
• 10+ years within the automotive industry.
• Leadership and communications skills at all levels of business (owner / Dealer Principle to staff, internal / external), VIP customers, and media.
• Computer literacy including competence in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Past experience or understanding of automotive retail operations.
• Prior field experience preferred.
Practical & Technical Knowledge
• Understanding of automotive retail operations.
• Ability to interpret retailer financial statements and assist business development.
Qualifications
• Ability to lead a regional team (internal and Retailers) to deliver business objectives.
• Ability to serve as a key interface between the Company, Retail Network, and Bentley owners.
• Ability to manage regional resource, budgets and policy.
