Job Description:
The Marketing Director of Canada will drive growth through partnerships with internal market leadership and with key external partners. They will provide leadership, marketing strategy, and customer-facing communications including all social media channels. They will have direct responsibility to implement a marketing strategy to support the overall initiatives set by the General Manager. They have direct responsibility to develop a team of professionals to execute web, print, and educational content. They will identify new strategies to communicate effectively to our various customer segments. They will work closely with the US marketing team as well as the global support teams to ensure content is fresh, accurate, and motivating. The Marketing Director will be expected to travel a few times a year to support and present at various events throughout Canada.
Responsibilities:
• Primary responsibility is to support and stimulate market growth by increasing engagement through content and promotions. The tools that they use are digital, print, social, etc.
• Identify opportunities and provide recommendations to the General Manager for additional marketing programs and strategic partnerships across the region
• Inspire and develop a team of professionals to execute marketing strategy across English, French, and Chinese micro-markets within Canada
• Create and refresh marketing strategy and goals related to Promo engagement, brand awareness and brand engagement. Create a multi-channel content strategy that focuses on incorporating key messaging promoting company goals.
• Stay up to date with current trends in digital, print, social, and content marketing.
• Identify, analyze, and understand metrics to measure the effectiveness of content, report findings, and reassess approach based on results.
• Drive direction and strategy for social media. Be up-to-date on current social media trends with experience in increasing engagement across all platforms.
• Work closely with Creative Director to create look and feel consistent with culture that tells stories through social media, blogs, and website.
• Monitor dōTERRA Canada online communities and presence.
• Manage Canada doterra.com content. Create content calendar to guarantee fresh content critical for SEO optimization. Work with SEO content team to ensure keyword based titles, keyword density, and strategic meta tags.
• Oversee the execution of e-mail marketing programs including: member segmentation, member analytics, A/B testing, automation, and dynamic content. Implement an analytical approach to identifying campaign drivers and opportunities that enhance member experience.
• Maintain a clear vision and editorial strategy for the creation and on-going development of dōTERRA print material. Ensure forecasting, cost, and pricing meet demand and member needs.
• Create and maintain a running two year promotional calendar. Identify key principles in past successful promos and be creative with proposing new ideas to keep customers excited and anxious to participate. Work with internal partners to ensure smooth execution of all promos.
• Create culture of partnerships with US marketing team as well as business leaders to ensure member needs are met and exceeded.
• Understand local nuances in customer type, currency, size, ethnicity, and be an expert on local promotions and holidays to create a cohesive and complete marketing strategy.
• Direct efforts to launch existing and new products within Canada.
Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience in Marketing with significant experience directing these efforts
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, Communication or related field
• Ability to communicate and collaborate with all key stake holders
• Ability to mentor and build Managers and team members to create a synergistic department
• Proven ability to engage with existing customers and build communities on Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and other social medias
• Ability to utilize data to segment customer base and track effective messaging
• Trend setter with effective approaches to fun, creative, and relatable storytelling through social media
• Strong health & wellness background
• Ability to productively partner with cross-functional team members to meet objectives
• Innovative self-starter with a balance of analytical and creative thinking
• Ability to set up efficient and effective processes, manage and meet deadlines
• Flexible and Dynamic as internal priorities shift and market/marketing avenues change
• Strong PowerPoint skills
