Senior Director Sales & Marketing Global
In this role, you have the opportunity to:
Lead global commercial operations and marketing functions in understanding and anticipating customers’ needs and strategically positioning Philips’ range of solutions to generate demand for the near, mid and long-term. Responsible for planning, development and implementation of all of Digital Pathology Solutions’ sales and marketing strategies, marketing communications and public relations activities, both internal and external. Coordinate and oversee sales support material, communications and PR. You will be instrumental in growing all the downstream sales and marketing activities in a highly dynamic early stage business.
Candidate can be based in the United States or Europe.
You are responsible for
• Developing clear and achievable strategies, objectives and tactical plans for the based on Key account management, customer centricity, segmentation, customer needs and market conditions
• Meeting or exceed sales, volumes, order intake, and financial target including direct cost management
• Developing and maintaining excellent communication links and relationship with top customers and the key decision makers in key markets
• Leading, directing and motivating the sales team in order to achieve the predefined sales volume and profit goals
• Enabling cross-functional teams to act upon market specific customer insights and competitor strategies into the solution roadmap to enable the business to extract financial value and brand preference with different customer segments
• Contributing to the strategic direction for cross-business opportunities within the market and as part of strategic initiatives at the global level
• Supporting the commercial teams by providing direct support to order acquisition, presentations to sales or customers and support at local market exhibitions
• Developing and leading the team in support of the commercial team with all aspects of deal strategy including positioning, pricing, presentation, and knowing when to bring in the right resources to close the deal
• Driving sales growth in solutions and new market opportunities by identifying local opportunities, interacting with decision makers and providing highest-quality leads as a result
• Implement effective, measurable marketing communications plans
• Deploy and maintain latest social media marketing campaign tools to reach broadest audience possible
• Responsible for the achievement of marketing/communications/public relations mission, goals and financial objectives.
• Coordinate media interest in the Organization and ensure regular contact with target media
• Define with Sales supporting material and deployment tools for capital equipment, fee per use and managed services commercial models
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
• MBA or other Master’s degree
• 15+ years in marketing, sales, business development, consulting, healthcare informatics or related field
• 10+ years of management experience
• Experience in high-tech, health-tech/med-tech solutions businesses
• C-Suite Enterprise marketing and sales
• Boldness to create/shape markets wherever possible, exploiting Philips technologies, market positions and brand
• Strong marketing acumen with a focus on segmentation, value proposition development across businesses
• Ability to maintain high motivation in salesforce organization
• Ability to collect and synthesize local market trends and competitive intelligence into actionable input for the global marketing teams
• Entrepreneurial mind-set to drive growth new and existing markets
• Collaborative mind-set to work with cross-section of sales, marketing, and analytics resources to develop development program solutions
• Effective team leader with a successful track record of working across organizations and leading cross-functional teams; proven ability to drive organizational and market change
• A proven eye for business and discernment
• Excellent communication skills, polished presentation skills, and good interpersonal skills
