Job Description

The impact of technology along with the incredible growth of start-up companies and insurgent brands has fundamentally evolved and transformed almost every consumer segment with groceries /consumables being the next space that both external experts and large players are betting on.
As a result, to ensure we win in this space, we have established an External Partnerships & Transformation Innovation Director role to lead the strategic agenda for our Global Snacks Group (GSG) External Partnership framework. This involves bringing together the multiple range of initiatives which are designed to enhance our strategic interaction with entrepreneurs and start-up companies, as well as ensuring we develop best-in-class initiatives & capabilities globally to enhance our internal entrepreneurial ways of working. This will strongly enable our aspirations to develop a successful portfolio of Better For You/Premium discovery brands in developed markets. This role will support the drive to enable PepsiCo Snacks to remain competitive within the context of the incredible rate of growth of small brands in the sector.
While tied closely to broader PepsiCo, this role has a unique start-up feel and defined values that embrace a more entrepreneurial mindset: bias for action; results oriented; community-focused; prioritization of people. Key Accountabilities:
• Identify and lead specific initiatives/projects for the GSG Transformational Innovation agenda; harnessing and developing best-in-class models identified to drive growth in an new & entrepreneurial manner to position Pepsi at the forefront to the external world (i.e. Pepsi Approach to Mentoring Start-Ups)
• Lead our External Partnership Forum, bringing together the Pepsi Teams to share, learn, and identify opportunities to collaborate in this space
• Bring together the breadth of External Partnership initiatives globally, map against the framework and evaluate opportunities to lift and adapt to multiple markets
• Liaise and learn from the Start-Up world bringing new ideas to inspire the PepsiCo team
• Develop a strong working relationship with the Venturing team to ensure aligned goals and identification of strategic opportunities
• Develop best-in-class toolboxes for the priority models and facilitate Global share out
• There will be a lot of looking outward to gain insight and knowledge from the external space in order to bring this back and inspire our teams
Qualifications/Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
• Master’s degree or MBA.
• 8+ years of experience in the consumer goods industry, client or agency or within a startup environment.
• Global experience or interest/curiosity for learning about other countries/cultures
