The Vice President, North American Forecasting will be part of the regional Finance leadership team, partnering with the U.S. and Canadian sales and marketing organization. In this role, you will be responsible for providing direction on the sales and consensus forecast process, owning the systems and tools necessary for effective and efficient forecasting.
You will lead the review of sales inputs and consensus forecast outputs and provide analytics and insights. Using your forecasting skills, to understand and measure the financial impacts of changing forecasts over time, to drive regional decision-making. Working within a collaborative team environment, this role partners with Sales, Marketing, and Finance to co-ordinate the forecast processes and prepares and presents analytics to support the achievement of annual and quarterly sales plans, inventory and service levels.

A day in the life as the VP North American Forecasting
• Manage the periodic unit forecast processes, reconciling and communicating changes together with potential gaps to achieve shipping plans and inventory targets.
• Oversight and coordination of the flow of unit forecasts across the company affecting strategic planning, manufacturing investments and production planning. Including working with management on the forecasts and forecasting assumptions.
• Managing the tools, reports and systems to analyze trends and forecast data. Generate reports and dashboards, trends and statistics.
• Lead Sales, Marketing and Operations teams in the application of best practices and efficient processes to optimize forecast quality and business results.
• Manage the effective flow of information between Sales, Marketing, Operations, Finance and Supply Planning within the Region.
• Create and measure key performance indicators to track and evaluate forecasts made; to assess forecast effectiveness and forecast process; and work towards improvements
• Communicate and ensure action plans are in place for risks associated with capacity constraints/inventory shortfalls and excess inventory levels, and their impact on finance
What you’ll bring:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in a multi-faceted business environment using automated demand and supply planning processes
• Ability to thrive in a global, multi-cultural or multi-country environment
• Ability to build cross functional trusted partnerships and facilitate consensus within and across work teams
• Your strong working knowledge of effective supply chain performance, including customer service, supplier and asset management
• Passion for creating process and systems improvement
• Skills in analysis, communication and navigating a complex global organization
• Your energy for working in a dynamic, collaborative, fast-paced environment, and handling several projects at a time
