Associate Director, Biscuits Supply Planning

TheAssociate Director, Supply Planningfor Wholesome Sweet, All Other Cookies and Multipacks is responsible for the development of 5-year strategic inventory and manufacturing plans, as well as annual and quarterly financial updates. This must be accomplished while making appropriate trade-offs between manufacturing capacity and capability constraints, distribution/transportation strategies, plant productivity, financial inventory limits, potential waste risk, external manufacturing alternatives, etc. The position is also primarily responsible for development of long term capacity plans leading to recommendations for future manufacturing requirements.
This role must have strong leadership capability and will be the primary category point of contact for ISC to cross-functional business teams including Marketing, Sales Planning, CBT’s, Finance, Operations and other CS&L functional areas. This position reports to the Director of Biscuit Supply Planning.
Responsibilities include
• Business Lead to facilitate cross-functional team to drive sustainable improvement in customer service, cash flow, and waste.
• Develop and deliver annual service, waste and inventory objectives and key performance indicators. Lead improvement programs as necessary to create CFR and inventory reduction sustainability.
• Maintain strong linkage with and influence Business Development (BD) teams to drive long-term capacity decisions to support continued volume growth.
• Represent Supply Planning as key point person for global initiatives and new product harmonizations.
• Point of contact for Supply Review content related to their specific portfolio, as part of the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process.
• Plan and execute all new product introductions within assigned category.
• Engage CS&L and Sales organization to proactively mitigate CFR risks and opportunities; develop cross functional execution strategies to maximize revenue and service if experiencing supply challenges.
• Manage North American staff of Network Production and Fulfillment Planners.
Qualifications
• BS/BA required, preferably in Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations Management, Business Administration or equivalent.
• Successful candidate will have a minimum of 7-10 years of business experience in Supply Chain including, but not limited to, production and fulfillment planning, distribution operations and/or demand planning. Experience in management of direct reports is required.
• Should have strong understanding of finished goods inventory and manufacturing capacity management.
• Must have highly developed analytical skills with strong working knowledge of SAP APO.
• Knowledge of Direct Store Delivered business and distribution network is preferred. Experience in multiple channels (Foodservice, warehouse-delivered) is also a plus.
• Ability to establish solid relationships with internal cross-functional partners.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills are mandatory, with high comfort level in regularly dealing with senior regional leadership.
• Some travel will be required (up to 10%).
