Job Description
Overview
The Director, Sales --Team Lead, Publix oversees an assigned sales team in the implementation and execution of sales, distribution, marketing strategies, and tactics against corporate goals and objectives for Publix. The incumbent strives to enhance Hain Celestial dominance in multiple categories to achieve business results through influence, executive presence, and penetration with the retailer's regional senior management team(s).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsibility for delivering on volume, distribution and profit goals and objectives.
Establishing/Maintaining a productive business and strategic relationship with Publix senior management.
Establish sales team stretch objectives and manage personnel workload appropriately.
Direct and leverage strategic Joint Business Planning process with retail sales regional planning and category management departments.
Implement HCG Corporate Sales and Marketing objectives.
Effectively manage Trade & Co-Marketing budgets.
Provide management direction with all Private Label initiatives.
Coordinate Supply Chain alignment and successful partnership projects.
Perform annual business and performance reviews with retailer and HCG personnel.
Provides leadership, guidance and direction to all members of assigned sales team
Assists with other projects as assigned
Qualifications
• Minimum ten years' experience in a Sales capacity within a Consumer Packaged Goods Company, Distributor or Broker Network environment or related role
• Bachelor's degree in Business, marketing or equivalent
• Knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the HCG and the retailer organization.
• Ability to interpret account specific data -- and translate into relevant category review presentations, as well as other sales related information/material.
• Ability and desire to travel extensively.
• Working knowledge and understanding of regional retailer strategy, internal structure, and Nielsen/IRI syndicated data.
• Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize multiple priorities and strong attention to detail.
• Computer skills including MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word, Excel PowerPoint.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate (verbal/writing) effectively.
• Self-motivated and strong analytical / problem solving skills.
• Ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and across other functional areas.
• Knowledge of the Consumer Product Goods Industry.
• Ability to empower, motivate and inspire staff.
• Previous supervisory experience a plus.
• Ability to lead change and execute on strategic decisions.
• Conflict resolution skills
