About You
You're not like everyone else.
You bring a unique perspective to the table. Transparency tops your list of values. Your smarts and creativity are off the charts, matched only by your humility. You want to collaborate with a team of diverse talent. You proactively contribute to a culture of respect and inclusion.
You enjoy a challenge.
Inquisitive and focused, you see every challenge as an opportunity. You're ambitious and unafraid to make mistakes because you learn from them and bounce back quickly. You don't stop until you get it right. "Impossible" isn't in your vocabulary. You're more interested in creating the future than waiting for it.
You love to listen.
You start every interaction from a place of listening and seeking to understand. You're culturally connected. You remember your first concert. You can readily recommend a binge-worthy show on Netflix, Hulu or HBO. You can't sit in traffic without a great audiobook, podcast or album. You can make a killer playlist. Your idea of a good weekend includes watching a movie or playing a video game.
What You’ll Do

• Partner with Sonos’ Product Design and Engineering teams to review design specs and recommend sources that can meet Sonos’ volume, quality, and cost requirements. Drive technical decisions that are aligned to strategic sourcing goals.
• Schedule and lead supplier meetings to review commercial terms and technical roadmaps and formulate a strategy to convey product and market information back to the electronics sourcing and development organizations.
• Analyze electronic components and sub-systems to create “should cost” models that enable COGM (Cost Of Good Manufactured) calculations early in the development cycle.
• For assigned component categories, continuously research and monitor the industry and report on significant activities in the areas of new technologies, supplier capacity and R&D investments, mergers and acquisitions, and competitors’ activities.
• Support bi-annual supplier performance reviews, factory audits and supplier risk assessments.
• Review production product designs and execute value engineering activities to achieve product cost reductions, reduce BOM risk and enable long-term manufacturability by proactively identifying and recommending additional component sources.
• Develop a PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) process that provides visibility to component lifecycle status across Sonos’ complete AVL of electronic components.
• Provide support to all functions of the electronics sourcing organization to enable a successful NPI process and the continuous production of all mature products.
Skills You’ll Need
• A minimum of 8 years of combined working experience in Engineering Design and Electronics Sourcing domain, preferably working within a high-volume consumer electronics industry.
• The demonstrated capability to apply analytical techniques to problem solving.
