The Opportunity
Responsibilities
• Lead the cross-functional teams responsible for executing the launch of new global markets.
• Ensure appropriate and adequate array of cross functional resources in place to execute on NMD global expansion strategies.
• Work closely with local market management during pre-launch and through deliver phase, to ensure their needs are represented and addressed throughout launch phases of new markets.
• Develop quarterly team objectives and milestones consistent with the NMD annual plan as a means of providing team direction, prioritization, and trade-offs as required
• Monitor progress to plans and provide coaching and mentoring of program leaders and their supporting roles to anticipate challenges and opportunities
• Work with your direct reports, cross-functional leads and the NMD leadership team to develop and present Senior Executive level report outs and business cases for key milestone decisions/investments as required
• Provide the senior leadership and discretion to help your team effectively manage changing priorities relative to the annual AOP plan
• Contribute to the development of AOP budgets, manage to plan, and provide quarterly explanations for variances to plan
• Continue to instill waterfall and Agile project management methodologies within your program leaders as standards of success
• Publish on a routine and consistent basis executive level program status reports with the aim of demonstrating the program is in control and risks are being managed proactively
• Continue to build out and update NMD Global Expansion Playbook to institutionalize global memory vs. a reliance on tribal knowledge
• Hire qualified talent on-time per the staffing plan on record
• Perform annual performance reviews on-time per standard HR policy and procedures
• Provide a written on-boarding and 90 day training plan for all new hires directly under your supervision
• Keep your manager informed in a timely and proactive manager of business risks, escalations, and/or employee performance issues as they surface
• Demonstrate mature communication and problem solving skills
• Lead and manage cross-functionally by building effective relationships
• Own your team’s results and be a role model for our True Colors
• Meet weekly with your Manager to review NMD business priorities, issues, and support needed
• Proactively support the development of special management reports, executive presentations, QBR’s and annual business planning
• Deliver informative, well-organized presentations tuned to the medium and audience
• Define, document, and execute standard global expansion processes to improve productivity, quality, efficiency while building organizational memory
Qualifications
• 10-15 years of international operations experience, including direct people management
• Experience managing strategic initiatives within business units or functions
• Comfort interacting with senior management, acting as a cross functional partner and managing direct reports
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express business terms and complex business concepts verbally and through documentation
• Demonstrated ability to plan and organize cross functional work and deliverables. Able to lead teams to consensus decisions on complex business and global challenges.
• Outstanding attention to detail.
• Ability to succeed in a rapidly growing global business environment, where processes are not always intact, while recognizing the need for new processes
• Ability to lead change management
• Analytically curious to explore and resolve business system and process issues
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Direct Sales Industry experience a plus
• Foreign language skills a plus
• Ability to grow management and leadership responsibility as business scales
• Strong Microsoft Excel required
• Bachelor’s degree required
• MBA is desirable
