Position Details
Reports to: Vice President Business Transformation
SUMMARY
Lead transformation project efforts leveraging best practices and in collaboration with Operations Executives, Engineering Leaders, peer Operations Leaders and Sales leaders. Partner with all Operation functions to properly prioritize and effectively deliver program goals on time and within budget. Plan, budget, oversee and document all aspects of the specific projects within larger manufacturing transformation program portfolio.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop executable timeline with milestones for overall program and projects assigned.
Determine resource requirements to assure success.
Perform analysis required to determine machinery, production, material, and footprint requirements to accomplish program goals.
Track progress versus goal and report progress.
Track costs as required.
Assist plants in transition.
Act as facilitator between all involved functions (Finance, IT, HR, Sales, Operations, etc.)
Develop list of issues to assist in future project success.
Work closely with Sales to keep teams informed.
Serve as owner of IT related testing and troubleshooting of new systems.
Lead, facilitate and report on plant training for management and supervision on new plant / IT processes. Train the trainer of key plant leaders to deliver training to all plant employees.
Assist in training of Value Stream Leaders, Value Stream Managers, and Operations Managers in use of systems, procedures, and policies.
EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
Required:
Four year college degree or work equivalent
7+ years Operations leadership
5+ years' experience in program/project management
Ability to build relationships, influence and collaborate with no direct reports
Demonstrated previous success in program management with strong planning skills
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
Results driven and proven records of success through key performance indicators (KPIs)
Proficiency in MS Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Strong financial and analytical skills
Experience with cost/benefit analysis
Demonstrated ability to successfully juggle competing priorities
Preferred:
Six Sigma and Lean experience and demonstrated project leadership desired
Minimally Green Belt certification and experience with Lean tools and processes
Project Management Certification
MBA
Plant environment with 50% travel
