Requirements:
3-7 years of working knowledge and configuration experience in the SAP Warehouse Management module as well as functional specification development. Areas of focus are:
• Picking / Putaway strategies
• Internal warehouse moves / posting changes / etc.
• PP/WM interface
• Handling unit management / storage unit management
• IM/WM movement type mapping
• Output determination / label generation
• Integration with shipping and general logistics
• Master data elements associated with Warehouse Management (material master, control cycle, etc.)
• Serial number management (IM)
• Physical inventory / Cycle counting
Additional competencies:
Understanding of the cross module integration points between SD, MM, PP, QM, and logistics
Experience in Solution Manager, Business Process Monitoring, and Business Process Analytics is a plus
Understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC)
The ability to develop, execute, and document test plans
The person that would succeed in this position would typically have a Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, business, or a related area and/or 3-7 years of SAP focused experience in industry, or consulting. Additionally this person should be able to quickly come up to speed on the current configuration and customizations (development) in the Smith & Wesson SAP system, develop and evaluate alternative solutions to business issues, and recommend the best solution based on technical and business impacts.
This role acts as a consultative liaison with the business to define business requirements and solution them appropriately, primarily in the areas of materials management, inventory management, warehouse management, and procure to pay. The person in this role must be able to lead and execute small to medium size break/fix and improvement projects with minimal supervision. Additionally this person will participate in the identification of process improvement opportunities, provide input and recommendations, and conduct solution implementation.
Excellent communication skills are a must for this role, as well as the ability to proactively identify risks and propose mitigation plans for same.
Travel to other American Outdoor Brands Corporation facilities, conferences, seminars, training, etc. may be required. During integration projects, this travel may be as high as 50% to 75%, depending on the phase of the project.
