Description
The Director is responsible for leading the development and execution of Supply Chain strategic initiatives focused on new lines of business, new products, new ventures and involves large scale transformation or span across multiple Sales channels. This position is embedded with with Brand and Beverage Marketing leaders and works close with Supply Chain leaders to execute new product launches. This position leads a team responsible for the Supply Chain program portfolio and beverage commercialization. Additionally this position will work closely in concert with the Technology teams and provide a “system ownership” perspective of the Hot Beverage platform from a Supply Chain lens. Large scale transitions of capabilities for either growth or productivity will also be matrix managed in the organization through this leadership position.
What you will do:
• Oversee Supply Chain strategic initiatives led by the Brand and Beverage organization that are focused on new lines of business, new markets, or include complex product launches.
• Lead a team of Program and Project Managers responsible for the development of project plans, project schedules, resource plans, budgets, proposals, and ROI calculations as required for strategic initiatives.
• Partner with Marketing leaders to develop and implements strategic plans that meet our customers’ demand while improving productivity, quality and operational efficiency.
• Evaluate performance trends to build a demand forecast and set production plans for new business ventures.
• Ensure operational execution of new product launches and transitions, while accelerating speed to market.
• Coach, train, develop and mentor Managers and the broader Supply Chain network to ensure current and future performance levels are met.
• Provide solutions by exercising high levels of influencing, negotiation and communication skills. Be proactive and address issues when they show.
• Serve as an operational and management source of expertise, and contribute to the success of the senior management team as a whole.
• Work with Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain functions to establish process improvement programs.
• Follow all Keurig Green Mountain policies and procedures.
Qualifications
What you must have:
• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, information systems, industrial engineering, or related field required. Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years’ progressive leadership experience in customer service or product supply in the consumer product industry.
• Experience leading strategic, project management teams focused on launching new business ventures, opening new regions and/or that involve complex systems.
• Ability to create and maintain relationships, both externally and internally.
• Excellent communication skills, focused especially on the customer experience.
• Ability to be flexible while able to drive for results, even when all of the requirements have not been defined.
• Critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Ability to regularly travel business; work a flexible schedule as needed.
• Experience in SAP is highly desirable.
