Description:
The ION Product Development Director will, through the management of Forecast and User Interface teams, oversee continuous improvement and releases of forecasting, user interface, and overall IT system for the ION order management system. Measurements of success in this role include addressing critical business and user needs through technical solutions, the improvement in forecast error, the implementation of a user interface that is easy to learn and guides wanted behaviorism.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Develop strong understanding of user needs, business requirements, and areas of underperformance as it relates to order management to identify improvement opportunities.
• Own and manage the execution of the prioritized backlog of continuous improvement initiatives across: Forecast Performance – Reducing forecast errors that may occur and improving forecasting efficiency; User Interfaces (UI) – Improve UI functionality to drive key behaviors across stakeholders, simplify user experience, and meet complete business mgmt. needs; and Systems – Improving system efficiency, reliability, and integrity, while ensuring system fits in the overall BBU IT landscape/environment
• Work with DSD Excellence teams, demand planners, and users, to identify improvement opportunities to add to backlog
• Manage Forecast and UI teams day-to-day in an Agile solution development process driving to frequent and regular releases of incremental solution improvements
• Identify and address critical roadblocks to improvement opportunities within the order management process
• Manage technical solution performance and ensure effective communication of status reporting to key stakeholders
• Coordinate with BBU stakeholders beyond the Perfect Order team as required, (e.g. IT, Forecasting groups in other functional areas)
• Identify resources needed and recruit for ION system team
• Coordinate with technical vendors and other third party support
• Coordinate with roll-out teams and demand planners how to implement new releases in the organization
• Foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement to include the development of self, others, and work processes.
Position Requirements:

Education and Work History:
A higher educational degree within Computer Science or other related technical field. A combination of education, training and experience that results in demonstrated competency to perform the work may be substituted.
Ideal candidate will possess:
• Ideally 8-10 years of relevant experience in managing similar systems with both advanced analytics and user interface components; and managing IT/technical teams (preferably in CPG and/or frontline situations).
• Experience in scaling a technical solution across a large organization.
• Experience and demonstrated ability in leading/working in an Agile development process.
• Experience/knowledge of relevant IT systems (preferable).
• Demonstrated ability to understand business requirements, end-user needs and pain points, and develop/achieve strategies to address.
• Strong communications, motivational and team management skills.
• Effective strategic viewpoint skills and project management discipline.
• High degree of commitment to, and passion for the role.
• Travel is required, 20-30%.
