Associate Director Demand Planning Biscuit
The Associate Director Demand Planning Biscuit leads the regional NA Biscuit Headquarter and Location Demand Planning teams with responsibility for the Category Demand Planning Review process of the Integrated Business Planning process ( ~$7B in Revenue annually).
The following describes key success criteria for the role:
• Own and lead the monthly Demand Review process, specifically facilitating the Category Demand Review with key stakeholders of Business Unit President, VP Sales Planning and Sr. Director Finance/ CFO
• Ensure business agreement on the unconstrained & unbiased demand plan -volume and value, including innovation - for the future 12-18 month horizon to form the base of revenue, capacity, production and deployment planning.
• Support the 18 – 36 month strategic planning process
• Represent Demand Planning during the monthly IBP Supply Review, the monthly Integrated Reconciliation and Management Business Review with the business unit Presidents.
• Own the interaction with Supply Planning for the Category, including hand-off of demand to product supply and management of escalated demand-supply issues.
• Ensure that there is proactive communication, and delivery of targets for forecast accuracy and bias for the category across the region. Drive action plans for improvement in case of non-compliant KPIs.
• Collaborate with Regional SCE Business Process Excellence Associate Director - Demand to drive continuous improvement across Demand Planning for the Category.
• Management, mentorship and coaching of Category Demand Planning team in Integrated Planning Tower.
• Conduct periodic reviews of statistical forecast models with the Modeling team to adjust the model type, algorithm properties, and seasonality for a desired forecast.
• Own segmentation criteria and policies for the category and work with the Modeling COE to apply appropriate settings and alerts within the system.
• Define resolution of demand-supply imbalance and communicate action plans cross-functionally. Lead the Location Demand Manager in resolution of key demand issues / service issues.
Primary Responsibilities of the Position
• Leadership of the Biscuit Regional Demand Review by gathering relevant inputs and creating the demand review deck, to ensure a productive IBP Demand Review discussion. Provide the “voice of reason” to ensure alignment on an unconstrained and unbiased business demand plan to support the 24 month planning horizon, AC development and strategic planning process.
• Develop and communicate strategic vision and roadmap for the team and outline required capabilities and plan to achieve that vision and achieve KPI’s.
• Establish annual goals and work with team on defining initiatives to achieve these goals and drive continuous improvement. Ensure proactive communication, identification and resolution of issues to achieve Mondelēz service, inventory and Forecast accuracy/BIAS targets
• Own coaching and team development of the Category Demand Planning team, by facilitating appropriate training, certification, as well as on the job coaching and mentoring, to create the ISC leaders of the future.
• Escalate significant Planning Gaps to Senior Leadership (Marketing, Sales, Finance, and Product Supply) and facilitate cross-functional discussions on potential gap closing options. Serve as a single point of contact for Demand Planning, by maintaining constant interaction with senior leadership of Supply Planning, Finance, Marketing and other partners, to ensure cross-functional collaboration
• Collaborate with the Modeling COE and the Regional SCE Business Process Excellence Associate Director – Demand, by reviewing current processes, ways of working, gaps and tools, to drive continuous improvement and enhance forecast performance

Accountability:
Directly responsible to manage forecast for assigned category (with partnership and support from other stakeholders) totaling up to $6B in revenue per year.
Lead and facilitate the Category Demand Review and responsible for the following key KPIs: CFR, Forecast Error, Demand Plan Error, Demand Plan Bias, and % Families in Error.
Qualifications
Education Level:
• Bachelor's Degree (4 YR) Major: Operations / Supply Chain / Engineering/Statistics/ Business Administration.
Experience:
Functional / Technical Expertise
1. Comprehensive Supply Chain, Economical, Financial or Logistics functional experience (10 yrs min)
2. Full Operational knowledge of SAP ECC / APO (preferred) or other Advanced Planning Systems through formal training & experience.
3. Fully versed on Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). APICS CPIM certified or similar accreditation - preferred.(7 yrs min)
4. Ability to evaluate different supply chain scenarios / trade-offs (7 yrs min)
5. Significant experience in driving demand review and participation in an IBP cycle (5 yrs min)
6. CPG experience (5 yrs min)

• Strategic Agility, Able to drive for cross-functional results by proactively understanding and managing key issues & success criteria, and prioritizing accordingly.
• Project personal maturity and tact to effectively work with cross-functional team members to deal with conflicting priorities & ambiguity.
• Strong senior leadership influencing skills and organizational agility. Able to build effective teams.
• Knowledgeable of leading practice demand planning as well as end to end supply chain concepts.
• Excellent problem solving skills, analytical skills, as well as verbal and written communication skills in English.
