Job Description
The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis is responsible for overseeing and performing analysis on financial results for Pizza Hut, aligning and coordinating functions to achieve company-wide financial goals and making recommendations based on actual and forecast information. You’ll build and manage annual operating plan including quarterly forecasting and financial initiatives to achieve plan and provide strategic financial direction in the areas of National Calendar planning, Product Testing and Profit Initiatives for the Pizza Hut U.S. brand.
ORGANIZATION
Pizza Hut has 6,300 equity, franchised and licensed stores in the U.S., and revenues of $6 Billion. The Director, Financial Planning & Analysis will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer, and will partner regularly with senior leadership across the organization as well as with franchisees.
OBJECTIVES
• Lead Annual Operating Plan and Quarterly Forecast processes by coordinating and having discussions with all functions, ensuring annual growth and profit targets are met.
• Provide financial analysis, including variances against previous forecast and previous year, identify trends and track potential risks and opportunities for the year.
• Coach a team of four, building their capability and delegating duties and responsibilities in order to ensure timely and accurate performance against all key deliverables.
• Communicate and explain period and annual results internally and provide variances against forecast and updating the outlook for the balance of the year.
• Prepare financial reviews for management at different levels. Recommend plans of action to meet objectives and coordinate efforts to execute them.
• Participate in all strategic and operational initiatives by providing financial support, analysis, and recommendations.
• Present business cases to management team and identify best business practices and disseminate to other markets.
• Promote sharing across markets and brands. Develop tools to support build financial capability at franchisee level.
• Identify key markets and work directly on identifying and evaluating potential margin improvement initiatives for these restaurants.
• Responsible for all financial decisions in the development of a national marketing calendar to support a $6 Billion Brand.
• Coordinate discussions with multi-functional leaders and make recommendations and follow up on agreed times. Areas of work include pricing opportunities, asset-strategy economics and loyalty program economics and analysis.
• Partner with other functions within the domestic business and other finance departments internationally to build best practices and expand the influence and reach of the finance function worldwide.
• Identify and Lead profit driving initiatives that will generate prospective growth for Pizza Hut.

Minimum Requirements
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor degree required, with major in finance-related discipline. Post-graduate (MBA) qualification preferred.
EXPERIENCE (and other qualifications):
• 10+ relevant business experience, with at least five years in planning positions at a Senior Manager and/or Director level.
• Solid understanding of the overall planning function.
• Extensive knowledge of financial statements and business decision making tools.
• Experience in managing quarterly forecasting and analysis.
• Excellent interpersonal, teamwork and service attitude skills, with the ability to interface directly with all levels of management.
• Strong communication skills: oral, written, and presentation.
• Self-motivated with a strong drive for results and intellectual curiosity; likes to challenge status quo.
• Strategic vision capability and results oriented.
• Ability to lead multiple projects, absorb ad hoc work into routine schedule and work under pressure against tight deadlines.
• Restaurant operations / field experience a plus.
