As a Director of Human Resources with Levy, you will be responsible for providing human resource services and products that perpetuate and enhance the Levy culture and vision and values. Results are achieved through intelligent, professional and practical communication, management and leadership skills. Your major areas of responsibility will be recruiting, training, compensation and employee relations. You will always practice and promote the policies and procedures that Levy upholds while fostering strong relationships with operations through accessibility and responsiveness.
Responsibilities will include:
• Promote consistent, equitable adherence to all policies and procedures.
• Partner with managers to ensure employment and labor relations issues are promptly addressed and resolved.
• Spearhead the development and rollout of new initiatives.
• Facilitate and co-facilitate training programs within areas of expertise (Performance Management etc.)
• Coordinate and/or take ownership of various projects both assigned and self-initiated
• Utilize data to identify trends and diagnose organizational effectiveness issues
• Highly organized and able to coordinate high volume job fairs for seasonal hires
• Coordinate new hire orientation and on-boarding and support quarterly team member training according to location goals and objectives
• Organize team member files
• Recruiting efforts for both hourly and salaried positions
• Ensure location compliance with HR semi-annual audit requirements and provide updates
• Administer employee recognition programs, climate surveys and action plans and employee engagement.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee relations
• Investigates and advises management in appropriate resolution of associate relations issues such as: working conditions, disciplinary actions, associate and applicant appeals, Equal Employment, Speak Up Hotline calls, documentation procedures, or other HR related matters as required.

• Ability to work a flexible and at times an extended work week; including days, evening, weekends and holidays.
• Extend end shift as needed. Work weeks of 60 hrs + at times.
Required Experience:
• Minimum of five years’ experience as a Human Resources Manager/Director. Sports and Entertainment, hospitality or retail experience is highly desirable.
• Operations experience; both union and non-union exposure.
• Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices.
• Proven business acumen partnered with attention to the human element.
• Experience collaborating with a broad range of individuals.
• Must have experience with staffing large employee populations
• Excellent computer skills
• Candidate will be a self-starter with the skill set to make solid business decisions in a fast paced and changing environment.
