Overview
The Faucets Supply Director drives improvement to our existing processes and systems. Manages the supply to support a business with more than USD$350K in sales, determines how much inventory is required to run the business and optimizes the parameters and inventory targets to improve the current inventory base of USD $40M.
Responsible for planning properly more than 6K SKU’s between the plant and over 40 different suppliers.
Responsibilities
• Maintain a strong and positive working relationship and communication with suppliers to confirm shipping schedules and monitor open customer orders and safety stock targets.
• Coordinate forecasts load for requirements of demand components.
• Proactively report product and material availability issues.
• Work with Purchasing Manager to drive continuous improvement activities and best practices across the team to achieve daily efficiency improvements.
• Interact with multiple locations/warehouses.
• React effectively to unanticipated and challenging production schedule changes with creative and cost-effective solutions to eliminate risks and with the clear objective of preventing any supply delay to the customers.
• Work effectively with Customer Service, Purchasing team, Operations team and
• Demand planning team to provide accurate delivery dates and recovery plans.
• Submit and continually update reports for weekly metrics.
• Resolve any issues surrounding production priorities, backorders, lead time and inventories (delivery schedule, receiving).
Qualifications
Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or related field. Master’s degree highly desirable.
10 years of supply chain experience or related field required.
Knowledge and understanding of Supply Chain concepts and application
Strong and analytical, planning and organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral and written)
Proficient in Microsoft Office
SAP system experience highly desired
Self-starter with ability to work independently under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities
Fully bilingual in English and Spanish required (oral and written)
APICS CPIM/CSCP certification or certification in progress preferable
