SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Purvey overall direction of organizational General Management Unit (GMU). Strategically design, direct and coordinate department business and financial operations and projects at top level management, with assistance of subordinate directors and various levels of staff. Devise and implement company and sales policies. Direct overall performance of Customer Development teams to strategically achieve business, financial and departmental objectives. Manage strategic budgeted sales and operating profit results.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
• Strategically lead direction of staffing, training, development and management of efficient GMU customer teams to meet U.S. Customer Development volumes, market shares and profit objectives within budgeted selling expenses.
• Direct departmental GMU’s financial budgeting to provide strategic investments for operations and projects. Prepare financial budget proposals for fund endorsements and formulation of projects.
• Strong precise understanding of marketing place dynamics in class trade customer strategies to provide strong strategic leadership direction to ensure K-C attracts, develops and retains best Talent, and fosters environment which motivates diverse teams. Persuasively influence Talent to fully use capabilities in achieving desired superior business results, and to be recognized as role model leaders by customers.
• Provides high quality strategic feedback and mentoring to GMU directors and team members.
• Strategically formulate, direct and implement policies, business plans and organizational objectives and projects; secure sustainable ongoing operations; improve productivity and maximize return-on-investments, volumes, shares, profits and other business financial metrics.
• Analyze operations to appraise department’s business and performance objectives, project and department improvements, feasible cost reductions and potential company cultural changes. Assess reports received from subordinate directors and staff to advise approvals, changes and suggestions.
• Designate departmental GMU directors, team leaders, managers, business partners and analysts, and assign/distribute responsibilities to them. Influence results by providing superior direction to customer development teams through personal involvement in design, creation and implementation of programs, policies, strategic business plans and developing sustainable relationships with customers, VIP stake holders.
• Consult and collaborate with company executives, customers, subordinate directors and various levels of staff to coordinate company/departmental projects. Direct and coordinate projects encompassing allocation of resources, financial, personnel staffing and sales of K-C category products with customers, subordinate directors and other GMU staff, along with departmental human resources projects, endorsement of projects and selection of directors or other high-level staff.
• Negotiate joint business plans, level of investments, return-on-investments, trade and resources with customers, suppliers and distributers

• Ability to travel via aircrafts, and operate and drive motor vehicles for business travel, with valid driver license.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education required/preferred:
• Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required. Minimum of Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
• At least 15 years’ exempt status experience managing financial budgeting, project and risk, along with experience in direction of business operations, policies and department performance.
• Proven cost reduction in appraising departmental performance.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Financial acumen.
• Experience with quantitative business analyses.
Preferred Experience/Qualifications:
• Knowledge of supply and demand.
• Knowledge of Statistics.
• Proven ability to lead direction of department.
• Knowledge of Channel and Sales Strategy is a plus.
• Knowledge of and experience with K-C planning process and ProMAX software is also a plus.
• Proficient in data access tools and intermediate to advanced PC based applications (Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint).

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to VP U.S. National Accounts
SCOPE OF POSITION:
Manage overall direction of organizational GMU and other functional business areas. Manage overall performance of Customer Development teams. Application of sales policies and direction of department’s financial investments and business operations. Assess potential cost reductions. Serve as mentor with high quality insights and feedback. Direct reports of personnel management may encompass 5-6 direct reports workers and 20 indirect reports.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Travel may include up to 15% of the work time. Travel may also include business travels via aircrafts and motor vehicles to various locations. May include prolong periods of sitting, typing, viewing computer/laptop screens, along with occasional bending, reaching, lifting, climbing, twisting, stooping and standing.
