Job Description:
The Director, Sales will lead a Sales team for a strategic retailer and/or grouping of strategic customers. This position will be responsible for the development and execution of the long term strategic plan for retailer(s), as well as developing the Sales team to support long term strategic partnership with retailer(s).
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Accountable for developing a strong financial plan that delivers top and bottom line growth
• Maintain and grow relationships with key personnel at retailer to expand Meals/Treehouse portfolio. Interact with key decision makers at all levels throughout retailer
• With the support of Marketing, develop and execute merchandising, assortment, pricing and shelving for all categories. Work with Supply Chain to efficiently ship coast to coast.
• Work with Procurement to model commodity alignment strategy
• Manage Sales team to deliver top line growth and manage day to day interactions with customers
• Work with cross functional team to provide accurate forecasts and adequate lead times in order to improve service levels
Daily/Periodic Tasks:
• Manage and grow day to day Meals portfolio
• Work with internal groups to sell and market all new key product launches
• Pricing and service management
• Broker management
• Transaction activities; including trade spending, deduction management and pricing accuracy
• Present QTRLY results

Education: Bachelor’s Degree Required – Type: Business, Marketing, Finance or related field
Key Competencies:
Customer Relationship – Ability to penetrate customer, understand customer strategies and customer planning processes
Financial Acumen - Maintain and apply understanding of financial management principals to ensure fiscally sound decisions, i.e. customer P&L, cost drivers, pricing, product and profit mix of channel
Consumer and Category Expertise - Ability to take consumer and category data and develop meaningful insights to enable customer(s) to achieve their strategies
Analytical Expertise – Systematic and logical approach to projects and solutions
Product Knowledge – Ability to understand product features and benefits and demonstrate value to the customer to achieve customer strategies
Sales Proficiency - Negotiation, influence management and project management skills
Communication - Ability to reach mutual understanding where participants exchange information and ideas to create a shared meaning
Minimum Experience Preferred:
• Minimum seven years of experience and knowledge of Manufacturing and the Food Industry
• Minimum five years of experience supervising others
• Customer team leader experience
• Proven ability to emphasize innovative and creative solutions that result in higher profitability
• Proven track record of achieving or exceeding budgeted sales and profit objectives
• Ability to excel in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
