We’re searching for a Director, Growth to join the Services & New Business (SNB) division at Samsung Electronics America. This position will be based in Mountain View, CA.
SNB is an agile “start-up” team with highly talented and results oriented individuals, organized directly under the CEO. We take an interdisciplinary approach to transform the way devices are combined with software and services – increasing consumer engagement and creating new revenue opportunities – to accelerate company growth. We are responsible for strategy, product marketing, and business operations for services including Intelligence (Bixby), IOT, Samsung Pay and Samsung Health. We also incubate and operate growth platforms, including award-winning industry-firsts such as Samsung Rewards.
Responsibilities
This is a critical role in building the growth operations function for Samsung Services as a growth-focused, data-driven and user-centric function. We are looking for an experienced senior growth expert that will drive the strategies to deliver a step-change improvement in how we leverage our on-platform channels for activation, retention, referral and revenue for users of Samsung services, with an emphasis on Bixby.
You will report to the Senior Director, Head of Growth Ops and will work closely with the Services Platform Leads, Product Managers and On-Platform Ops Managers to constantly improve and optimize our growth engagement strategies and plans.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop growth programs to improve activation, retention, referral and revenue
• Work cross-functionally with leaders on product management (plus engineering and data science teams) to unlock new, more sophisticated strategies for growth..
• Data-driven to uncover critical insights to drive the business and surface opportunities for improved engagement and funnel optimization
• Lead constant A/B and multivariate testing of potential new programs and ideas, infusing the entire Services team with an experimentation mentality to uncover growth accelerators
• Identify exponential growth opportunities by leveraging cross-platform initiatives within the network of Samsung Services
Minimum Requirements
• Demonstrated track record in growth optimization. Experience with in-app marketing, push notifications, etc. Hands-on experience analyzing data and using databases.
• Past experience shows partnership with product management (and engineering / data science teams).
• Experience in both highly manual and highly automated growth platforms a significant advantage.
• Minimum 4-5 years in growth function at a high-growth company / companies, preferably in software or services is critical. Recommended 12-15+ years work experience. However, if you have proven experience and capability in
driving growth and are exceptional in the desired skills below, this trumps tenure.
• Willingness to travel up to 30%, within North America and to South Korea
