Associate Creative Director, Interactive Writing, Launch
Job Summary
Apple is looking for an Associate Creative Director of Writing to join the Interactive Launch Team. In this role, you’ll help lead the team that creates the websites for the next revolutionary Apple product. You’ll work hand-in-hand with peers in Art Direction, User Experience Design, and Creative Tech to develop breakthrough interactive concepts and content strategies. You’ll directly oversee the work of a talented team writers — reviewing, guiding, and editing their writing — to bring product stories to life in a uniquely Apple way. On any given day, you may oversee the development of digital campaigns, new interaction models, and new digital platforms. You’ll also help Apple express its values through initiatives that support education, the environment, and diversity. Key Qualifications
• 8-15 years of experience as an ACD or Creative Director in a creative-focused agency or in-house at a leading brand.
• A diverse portfolio of award-winning digital creative work.
• More than anything, you need to be a great writer. Someone who really is capable of understanding the nuances of the Apple voice and with strong narrative skills.
• Strong management and organizational skills.
• An incredible eye for detail.
• The ability to cogently and articulately present and defend creative work.
• The ability to collaborate with senior executives.
• A true love for writing.
Description
Scope of Duties and Responsibilities: Managing interactive projects for the launch of new Apple products. Partnering with creative peers in art direction and user experience to develop interactive strategies, content strategies, and to execute work. Managing and mentoring a team of writers. Reviewing and editing the copy of multiple writer teams. Collaborating with Interactive Leadership, Apple Product Marketing, and Apple Brand Leadership Teams to ensure that creative work aligns with product and brand strategies. Presenting and defending creative work to Creative Directors and senior Apple executives. Managing and directing creative work of outside agencies and agency creatives.
