SUMMARY
Manage all functions of Exhibitor Services department at the branch level. Process complex requirements, inquiries and/or complaints and provide other customer service assistance to internal and external customers as needed.
• Interview, hire, appraise, train and recommend compensation adjustments for clerical personnel and Exhibitor Services Reps.
• Work with other department heads to ensure that all customer requirements and problems are addressed.
• Schedule Exhibitor Services personnel in office and at show site. Delegate job assignments according to job descriptions and work loads.
• Ensure procedures and guidelines are followed for office and show site functions.
• Control overtime by maintaining no more than 500 hours per year per person to prevent employee burnout. Report overtime periodically to record and limit the overtime being worked.
• Establish daily priorities and ensure department deadlines are met.
• Schedule regular department meetings and training syllabus sessions.
• Ensure master files are maintained and updated.
• Respond to complaint letters and surveys.
• Periodically visit show sites and review pre-show and post-show audits. Approve credit memos, purchase orders, and show price masters for department. Resolve complaints concerning billing or service rendered, referring complaints to designated departments or Account Executive for investigation.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Five (5) years related experience; or equivalent combination of both education and experience, with a High School Diploma or GED
• At least two (2) years of supervisory experience
• Requires analysis, judgment, and sensitivity to understand personnel and customer needs.
• Directors are expected to demonstrate the mastered ability to perform all functions in Freeman’s computer resources (i.e. Freeman Online, TSS, SAP, The Source and Microsoft Outlook).
• Requires ability to understand which service will satisfy the customer’s need.
• Must have in-depth knowledge of all Freeman services.
Preferred
• Internal Freeman Freight Specialist certification
