VaynerMedia is looking for a Director, Analytics to serve as a thought and operational leader for our work on a blue chip financial services client. This job requires quantitative and human skills, ensuring the quality and amplifying the effects of digital and social media analysis in the agency and on the client side.
This candidate will lead a team of 4+, ranging from recent graduates to experienced analysts. Ensuring efficient processes and consistently high quality output is paramount, as is directly interfacing with a broad set of agency and client-side stakeholders.
The candidate will report to and collaborate with the VP of Analytics, maintaining smooth team operations and developing analytic products and techniques. The candidate will also interface with a range of technical and non-technical internal stakeholders, from paid media to strategists to account leaders.
The ideal candidate will bring the following experience to the job:
• 5+ years of digital analytics experience, past leadership experience and/or financial services clients are a plus.
• Comfort with open web and social ad buy data, viewability, ad fraud/safety, MTAs, and mix models.
• Strong quantitative AND verbal skills.
• A client-facing personality and attitudes.
• A steady hand for a fast-moving agency and client.
• Strong understanding of statistical methods and analysis such as probability distributions, regressions, correlation, causation, variance, etc.
• Working knowledge of statistical software such as R, SQL, SAS, and/or SPSS is a big plus.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Netbase, Crimson Hexagon, Brandwatch, Simply Measured, and Google Analytics
• Experience in maintaining data integrity for modeling
