Associate
SocialStrategy Director(Signal)
Signal, the social studio within Critical Mass, is looking for a dynamic Associate Social Strategy Director. This individual will work to lead and implement social strategies for industry-leading brands. We are looking for a strategic leader, critical thinker and insight and channel expert who can help to develop compelling, cutting-edge social programs.
Responsibilities:
• Lead the creation of the social marketing communication strategy, including social voice, content, channel, influencer and engagement strategies
• Employ deep knowledge of social platforms/units and paid media strategy to drive the creative approach
• Develop and execute influencer programs for clients
• Analyze a range of information in great detail, including demographics, socio-economics and the market for the client's product
• Ability to sift through much data to identify and bring to life unique insights that ground strategy and creative planning
• Lead cross-functional team to analyze and recommend best channels to meet agreed-upon objectives
• Partner with the creative and account directors to develop creative briefs and ensure that the creative work fits the brand and is strategically focused
• Provide comprehensive strategic counsel to the client through a deep understanding of the digital/social space, their customers and competitive landscape
• Understand and leverage research from in-house or outside organizations to inform digital, social and content strategies
• Build, lead, and develop an engaged junior team
Qualifications:
• 6-7 years of strategic planning experience in marketing and communications with strong social focus; several years of agency experience is required
• Consumer experience required
• Multicultural experience preferred
• At least 2 years of experience managing a team is preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing or related field; advanced degree preferred
• Experience with using social media to drive brand awareness, engagement, and traffic to a website/social media pages in relation to broader media mix
• Adept at explaining and applying social and digital concepts to clients - and then implementing them successfully
• Solid grasp of social, digital, word-of-mouth marketing and online analytics
• Ability to translate digital and social trends, technologies and metrics into succinct, compelling, conversational language for a variety of audiences
