VICE PRESIDENT, REPUTATION MANAGEMENT
The position will be based in our NY office
About the position
Join our expanding reputation management team. We support clients to proactively shape and reactively protect their global reputations. We provide counsel to clients in crisis, enhance their preparedness and proactively position them to safeguard against potential risks, while we are also telling their story.
You will be part of a skilled corporate communications team that supports health & wellness and technology clients to ensure our client’s reputation is at the center of every strategy recommended, piece of content produced and conversation with media.
What you will be doing
• Planning and executing internal communications strategies and C-Suite executive visibility programs for a Fortune 50 company
• Developing crisis preparedness trainings, playbooks and protocols
• Managing crisis situations - developing messages and statements, providing on-the-ground support, media training executives in real-time, etc.
• Providing real-time strategic counsel on daily basis on account matters and issues
• Balancing the needs of several clients and their stakeholders
• Supporting team management / integration
• Project managing across several work streams / business lines
• Participating in new business development, company-wide initiatives
• Traveling as necessary
The experience that will contribute to your success
• A background across corporate communications, including internal communications, crisis and executive visibility
• Understanding what makes for good digital and social media content
• Working on integrated accounts
• Serious account management know-how (ability to juggle is a must)
• Growing and nurturing a group of up and coming stars
• A public relations background (agency experience a major plus) in corporate communications; in terms of years you have likely been practicing your craft for about eight (8) years
• Mastery of all the skills one would expect at this level including writing; developing strategies and providing client counsel; hands-on experience in managing client issues; account and budget management; preference for working as part of a highly collaborative team
• Experience pitching new business
