Golin New York is hiring a Creative Art Director. We’re not just talking about someone who makes things look pretty—we’re looking for an excellent brainstormer, concept creator, Creative Suite guru and design aficionado. You’ll collaborate with and inspire creative counterparts and other teams across Golin communities to ensure your brands’ visual voices are not only clear and consistent, but also award-winningly brave. You’ll work on some of the world’s largest brands in the beauty, beverage, food, spirits and airlines industries.

What You’ll Do:
• Act as the office’s art director, working under a senior creative director and with a small team of designers and copywriters
• Concept, develop and create relevant, engaging designs that drive client goals Work quickly and also long-term – you’ll be a member of our “Bridge” supporting fast real-time social media activations and also help develop projects that take months
• Help non-design colleagues develop briefs so the creative team an achieve their needs
• Design for content including social media graphics, infographics, gifs, newsletters, microsites, brochures, new business presentations and anything else that comes up
• Show an understanding of your clients’ brand visual voice when creating ideas and content
• Assist with multiple design and concepting projects at one time
• Package ideas in a clear, logical and persuasive manner
• Stay current on trending topics and pop culture
• Use experience and forward-thinking to identify and calculate risk to get to breakthrough and brave work
• Work effectively with team members to deliver work on time, in a finalized format
What You’ll Have:
• 6-8 years’ experience in graphic design (predominantly digital) and leading design and layout teams
• Mastery in most Adobe Creative Suite applications
• The ability to generate and develop relevant concepts
• Experience and proficiency in social, digital, and design
• A great eye for design and a desire to grow digital knowledge
• The ability to communicate client value in ways that resonate with business prospects
• A clear understanding of a creative brief and its role in the creative process
• Proven ability to build consensus and work effectively with cross-departmental teams
• A knack for juggling multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, under various deadlines
• An understanding and knowledge of Golin’s proprietary programs/tools and how to activate with clients
