Reprise - Associate Director, Digital Media Planning
Position Summary
The Associate Director is primarily responsible for the operational management for a planning team in New York and works closely with the VP of media to insure sound executions and client satisfaction.
Essential Functions
• Work with VP of Digital Media to define, establish best practices around media planning.
• Act as a player coach and build /develop the media planning team under management
• Manage internal media team operations around media planning
• Oversees and works on the development of media recommendations and plans.
• Manages supervisors, associates and Senior associates to provide guidance on best in class media planning and strategy
• Works closely with all assigned media personnel in the group, to assist with the analysis and evaluation of media information needed to prepare recommendations that best meet the media objectives and strategies of a plan
• Interprets, supervises, coordinates, and integrates, as necessary, all assigned media activities, including presentation and interpretation to the clients, as required.
• Maintains strong relationship with key clients for day to day operations
• Insures the highest level of service is executed for clients
• Set tone for efficiency in the work place by meeting and exceeding goals
• Responsible for developing the digital media skills and knowledge base of those more junior as well as supervise, advise and counsel the group in all daily account activities
• Maintains records and prepares periodic reports as requested by VP of digital media
• Maintains familiarity with the history, present status and procedures of the clients, as well as with conditions in the industry.
• Own certain internal management and planning tools and creates processes and trainings around them
• Is at all times alert to new media and new methods of using existing media and new developments, and shares with the planning group of such developments.
• Understand the mechanisms that allow digital executions to function
• Acts as a mentor to all of those around
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required
Work Experience:
• 5-7 plus years of experience in the digital space
• Strong agency background
• 2 years of management experience
Skills:
• Entrepreneurial in spirit
• Must be extremely accurate and detail oriented
• Ability to manage multiple clients
• Very strong communicator and presenter
• Must have hands on knowledge and ability to use media research tools such as comescore, Nielsen etc..
• This position requires strong PowerPoint and story telling skills
• Ability to think strategically at a senior client level
• Comfortable with paving new territory and implementing digital media ‘firsts’
• Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
