Vice President/Director, Paid Media
We’re searching for a Vice President, Paid Media in Chicago to help develop paid digital media planning and buying executions across social media, paid search, publisher, and other distribution channels to amplify and syndicate content marketing and earned initiatives.
We’re searching for a VP/Director, Paid Media in Chicago to help develop paid digital media planning and buying executions across social media, paid search, publisher, and other distribution channels to amplify and syndicate content marketing and earned initiatives.
What you’ll do:
• Lead strategy and development of comprehensive digital media plans and programs and oversee planning and buying activities
• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including social strategy, influencer, creative, and PR disciplines to develop paid media amplification and content distribution strategies
• Execute paid media tactics, such as paid social promotion, paid search engine marketing, and others.
• Build and develop relationships with media representatives and partners and negotiate best price and placement opportunities for clients
• Create and present RFPs, media plans, strategic decks, and media POVs
• Lead social media performance marketing and paid initiatives, working in conjunction with social and creative teams, with emphasis on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube, among other social channels
• Participate in client meetings, creative brainstorms, new business and integrated media team development
• Support and educate Media team members in identifying opportunities for growth and performance enhancements
Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
• Have 7-10 years of relevant digital media planning and buying experience
• Comfortable working with managed service vendors or overseeing programs in-house
• Understanding of analytics and media management tools (e.g. DCM, GTM, Domo, Google Analytics)
• Deep experience and strong passion and strategic understanding of paid strategies across social media platforms (e.g.- blogs, forums, consumer review sites, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn, YouTube, Pinterest, Foursquare, etc.)
• Demonstrated success in business analysis, data mining, and attribution modeling
• Experience with social, display, and search campaign planning, buying and measurement
Additional Requirements:
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills (including PowerPoint)
• Show a clear ability to work autonomously, with solid decision-making skills
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and internal team members across multiple levels
• Have excellent organization and time management skills
