Director, Analytics (Senior Data Modeler)
Weber Shandwick’s Washington D.C. team is currently seeking a Director, Analytics (Senior Data Modeler) to leverage his/her expertise in segmentation, machine learning, and modeling in the development & deployment of segmentations and modeling of explanatory effects, predictive outcomes, and media mix optimization.
The successful candidate will have a strong background and experience in manipulating and explaining data related to traditional and non-traditional forms of communications. This includes traditional forms of media (TV, radio, and print) and non-traditional forms of media (email, SMS, digital display, search, and social).
Requires at least a Master’s degree in statistics, related data science degree, or a strong working background in modeling and machine learning techniques. The position also requires the skills associated with handling large volumes of data. This includes, but is not limited to: (1) Strong experience in a coding language (preferably R or Python); (2) Excellent SQL background; and (3) Very strong skills in database manipulation.
QUALIFICATIONS
Basic
• Familiarity with a variety of statistical and data mining techniques including: cluster-based segmentations, regression modeling, decision trees, and media mix modeling.
• Fluent in R or Python
• Fluent in SQL and large scale data manipulation
• Critical thinking, analysis, and interpretation of data
• Performs well under time-sensitive deadlines
• Independent worker who is results driven
Additional
• Advanced degree (Masters)
• Hands on experience building a variety of segmentations and models
