Job Description
The DIG Senior Associate role plans, executes, and maximizes impact of digital shopper, ecommerce, and brand initiatives associated with one of Mindshare’s most prominent CPG brands. The senior associate combines creative thinking with core digital planning competencies to develop strategic digital media plans that deliver on client’s goals. The Senior Associate will lead day to day execution for assigned accounts with a primary focus on executing programs within Amazon.com and affiliated advertising platforms. The Senior Associate will report into Mindshare Chicago’s Shop+ practice lead and will be fully integrated into the Mindshare Digital Investment Group.
Responsibilities:
• Assist Manager and Director on branding, ecommerce, and shopper plan development and recommendation development, including:
• Assistance with negotiations when appropriate
• Work with planning team and utilize 3rd party syndicated research resources (ie Comscore, Nielsen, etc.) to develop partner recommendations for upfront and standard buys
• Work with Research and Analytics to collect relevant information on past performance
• Develop point of views for relevant partners and opportunities
• Meet with industry representatives to gain insight to all phases and points of contact of media partners
• Provide and obtain information and intelligence from Mindshare and GroupM Trading leadership
• Work with the Manager and Director on implementation and optimization of campaigns, including:
• Keeping up to date on all communications with planning team including buy authorizations, tracking reports, buy changes, creative specifications, etc
• Oversee Associates work with planning team and ad ops to traffic campaigns
• Ongoing management and stewardship of campaigns (pacing, performance optimizations, updates in iDesk, etc.)
• Create optimization recommendations along with Analytics and Research and planning teams
• Work with the Analytics and Research team on reporting and analysis
• Benchmark and value reporting
• Standard buy campaign reporting
Systems & Tools:
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Media Tools and Donovan Data Systems is a plus but not required
• 3rd party syndicated research resources (i.e. Comscore, Nielsen, etc.) is a plus but not required
• Ad verification and ad-serving technologies
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications
• Minimum of one year experience as a Digital Investment Associate (buying experience) preferred
• Performance marketing and/or e-commerce experience preferred
• Programmatic buying platform experience preferred
• Comfortable working with budgets and numbers
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented
