Position Summary
You will play a pivotal role working closely with current and prospective clients to bring them innovative solutions. You will lead our clients in uncharted territory, developing new knowledge for our clients in a changing world. You are a leader, able to offer strong advice support to key client accounts on a variety of research techniques. You have a proven track record of building and maintaining successful client relationships. You possess business development and sales expertise, which will be used in your work with a team to capitalize on research opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Client Business/Relationship Management:
• Acts as a trusted business partner with clients managing and growing the relationships into true “partnerships”
• Identifies and builds strong relationships with influence/decision makers within the client organizations
• Provide methodological advice, and strategic insight to clients
• Prepare proposals, build prospect contact lists, contact/visit prospects, translate client business issues into research design
• Deliver client presentations and run client activation workshops
• Develop strong partnerships with other Ipsos Divisions to respond to new business opportunities.
Revenue and Profit Management:
• Contributes to and actively manages assigned team revenue and profit margin.
• Sets and achieves revenue and gross profit objectives for the projects handled by team
• Develops ongoing relationships with key clients creating year over year revenue streams via repeat business and preferred supplier relationships
Mentoring:Provide day to day guidance and coaching to junior team members.
Project Management: Manage team overseeing research projects from beginning to end, including costing, management of internal operations functions and ensuring the successful delivery of end results to clients.
Travel Requirements
This position requires 10% travel within North America.
Required Skills:
Ideal Candidate has the following Skills and Experience
• Minimum of 10 years of research experience; ideally at least 5 years on the supplier side.
• Strong team leadership skills with past experience in mentoring and/or managing others.
• Strong aptitude for research consulting with highly developed analytic skills, the ability to think strategically and to provide innovative and creative solutions
• Highly motivated, self-directed and possess a driven personality capable of working within tight deadlines
• Strong relationships with clients
• Superior organizational skills, including ability to manage and delegate work effectively, unflagging attention to detail & demonstrated commitment to the accuracy and completeness of information
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in addition to well-developed interpersonal and presentation skills are necessary
Travel Requirements
Less than 15% regional travel in the metro area
