Job Description
Overview: Premiere programmatic leadership role offering an opportunity for exposure and experience with leading brands is seeking an innovative Associate Director looking to help transform media investment. A minimum of 5 years’ experience is preferred in hands-on programmatic and digital planning/buying.
Responsibilities:
People Management and Team Development
•Recruitment & training
•Guide the Managers on the team and lead all team members
•Provide on-going feedback and coaching to improve individual and team performance
•Manage team members towards, and ensure they meet, objectives below
•Assist in hands-on support for general team deliverables as required by the business
•Measuring and reviewing performance; including regular appraisal and feedback
•Enforcing high-standards of behavior and professionalism across the team; e.g. written and verbal communication and time-keeping
Communications
•Proactively and reactively manage agency stakeholders’, as well as client’s, expectations to a very high standard
•Attend internal and external meetings to represent GroupM PBU as necessary
Process management, standards and workflow
•Contribute to and support established best practice optimization approaches to meet team objectives
•Work on establishing or modifying ways of working to keep up with dynamic changes internally and externally.
Campaign Sign Off & Approval
•Personal review and sign off of campaign expected performance KPI(s)
•Escalation point for other members of the optimization team
•Ensure client campaign objectives are met
•Approve Performance KPI Expectations and sign off for Planning
•Forecasting
Campaign Launch and Optimization
•Optimization: monitoring performance, including pulling reports, synthesizing and analyzing them and making changes within the DSP (if necessary)
•Scheduled Optimization Reports: creating commentary and insights reports for campaigns that provide enough transparency to the agency and client
•Ad hoc Optimization Queries: trouble shoot queries like why performance has dropped recently, or why viewability isn’t tracking
•Ensure optimization to meet agreed performance KPIs are carried out by the team
Ad operations (as required)
•Must understand the creative and pixel trafficking process
•Basic tag trouble-shooting skills
•Discrepancy investigation resolution
Systems & Tools:
•Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Media Tools and Donovan Data Systems is a plus but not required
•Hands-on experience of digital advertising operations (managing and trafficking online digital campaigns) including technical trouble-shooting and issue resolution
•Expert knowledge in viewability, audience guarantees, and optimization techniques
•Experience with Tableau, ad serving solutions, attribution is a plus
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a concentration in advertising, marketing, business administration, and communications
•Minimum of three years’ experience as a Manager, at an agency trading Desk or programmatic technology vendor preferred
•Experience managing a Team management at an agency Trading Desk or programmatic technology vendor
◦ including line management and HR responsibilities (objective setting, performance reviews etc.)
•Candidates should be knowledgeable in audience buying strategies and have direct experience within the DSP environment
•Excellent verbal and written skills
•Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities and detail oriented
•Strong analytical abilities and quantitative skills, including math proficiency
