Who we are looking for:
POSSIBLE is seeking a Director, Strategy who will combine research and strategic thinking, and turn it into ideas and innovation for one of our largest accounts. You should be passionate about the advertising and digital marketing, have an innate curiosity and drive to find compelling consumer insights and be able to drive integrated marketing across the entire customer journey (from ads to emails, to a customer’s digital experience on a site and app). The ideal Director, Strategy is a respected leader, strong collaborator, great presenter, and motivates teams and clients forward with ease. We’re looking for someone who is excited to set plans and strategies for clients, finding new and interesting ways to understand the consumer and bring fresh ideas on how brands can come to life.
What you’ll do:
• Work with clients to define business/brand goals and develop strategies across traditional and digital channels based on consumer insights, trend analysis and business objectives.
• Work closely with the Account Director and cross-functional leads to provide strategic direction across the brand’s ecosystem (web, email, social, mobile, retail, activations, etc.).
• Understand the key trends that drive consumer behavior and affect the way that brands communicate – always living at the intersection of brands, culture and creativity.
• Compile/conduct research for client teams as needed, which may include competitive data, emerging opportunities, and consumer insights.
• Advance POSSIBLE’s marketing capabilities by identifying trends, understanding the competitive landscape and crafting innovative programs.
• Responsible for representing the strategic planning group at POSSIBLE to clients and other agencies in meetings and leveraging our offerings to solve client problems across the digital space.
• Oversee or execute on key strategic deliverables for client & team; including execution of the creative brief in partnership with the Creative Director and Account Director.
• Provide thought leadership within our industry, for our clients, and for the agency.
What you’ll need:
• 8-12+ years overall experience, including digital marketing and traditional planning.
• Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills - able to work in an autonomous environment.
• Passionate about marketing and digital strategy.
• Must be a highly collaborative team player with experience working with large, global brands.
• Experience working with VP-level clients and across entire organizations.
• Able to craft compelling strategic stories from a variety of qualitative and quantitative inputs.
• Comfortable working with creative, account, media, and analytics teams.
• Bachelor’s degree with Marketing or Business-focus preferred.
