Under the new leadership of Dawn Langeland (managing director) and Matt Neale (CEO), Golin New York is achieving incredible growth. We are looking for an exceptional account executive in our consumer practice to work on a dynamic and innovative brand in the entertainment category.
The Role:
As Media Director in our consumer practice, you’ll serve as a key leader in the development and execution of strategic media campaigns for clients like Mountain Dew, Stoli and Lipton to name a few. You will be a thought-leader and counselor to client leadership and agency partners as well as be responsible for securing top-tier media coverage across all media channels - traditional, digital and social leveraging your deep media relationships.
What You’ll Do:
• Provide strategic counsel and build integrated media plans for clients in the men’s and women’s lifestyle, sports and food/beverage space.
• Synthesize complex information around issues, adeptly dealing with difficult media situations
• Immerse yourself in clients’ industries, brands and past media coverage to lead to strategically minded plans.
• Participate in client brainstorms and lead in the selling-in of Agency points of view.
• Be an integral part of growing existing business and participating in new business pitches for the agency.
• Develop strong client relationships based on the ability to think, react and act in a fast-paced environment.
• Hold and set a high bar for smart and sound media ideas.
• Collaborate with G4 team members (creative, planning and digital experts) to develop integrated programs and provide media leadership.
• Stay on top of industry best practices, client and competitor brand activity, and ensure Golin delivers game-changing ideas and solutions
Qualifications
What You Have:
• At least 10+ years of PR agency with growing responsibilities
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation)
• A collaborative spirit, results driven with the capacity to manage multiple priorities and work against deadlines
• Ability to provide leadership and mentorship to a team located in multiple offices
• Deep media relationships and proven success at garnering branded results for clients across earned, owned and paid media
• A strong understanding of the media landscape in the categories of sports, entertainment and food/beverage and of the men’s and women’s lifestyle media landscape.
