Senior Director, Corporate and Consumer Communications
We are searching for a corporate and consumer and public relations professional that will contribute to the global growth and performance of the firm by leading large, complex client relationships and programs in the food and restaurant space. This role will be recognized as an expert in a particular practice, industry or capability, and will manage diverse internal teams, drive project deliverables, and deliver outstanding results.
Responsibilities include:
• Proactively developing and growing senior and C-suite level client relationships and acting as trusted advisor on food and restaurant issues.
• Leading large client relationships, developing communication strategies, corporate reports, stakeholder engagement and consumer communications programs for these clients.
• Developing and leading new business efforts of significant size.
• Counseling and building relationships with peers in the industry and with other lines of business.
• Proactively managing client expectations to ensure all issues impacting client satisfaction are addressed.
• Playing a lead role in developing staff and cultivating talent at all levels by creating succession plans and career tracking as well as providing mentorship and serving as coach for trainings and on-boarding.
• Addressing staff performance issues proactively.
• Raising the visibility and enhancing the reputation of the firm externally through activities such as published articles or speaking engagements.
• Enhancing the firm’s intellectual capital by driving innovation, developing new products and services, and leveraging the firm’s strategic Evidence-Based Communications platform.
• Integrating new digital products and services in new business offerings.
This position will be part of Burson-Marsteller's Corporate and Financial Communications Practice. The Corporate Practice offers strategic counsel and execution that is aligned with our client’s business objectives. We deliver expert guidance and implementation support on critical communications issues. Whether the goal is to build awareness and buy-in around a new corporate vision, guide a CEO through the first 100 days of leadership, or design a strategy to reach local constituencies and national influencers, Burson-Marsteller's Corporate Practice develops solutions that sustain corporate value and drive business results.
Required
• Minimum of 15 years of previous public relations, in the corporate and consumer communications space.
• An in-depth understanding of the client’s business and challenges, specifically in the rood and restaurant business.
• Ability to manage complex relationships diplomatically and consultatively.
• Experience working with Fortune 500 companies.
• Demonstrated ability to think strategically, innovatively and develop creative solutions and new programs.
• Demonstrated ability to manage teams and individuals to enable them to perform to their fullest potential.
• Creative and strategic thinking, strong negotiation skills, in-depth analytical skills, and the ability to take a long term perspective.
• An entrepreneurial approach to business acquisition and proven success in driving new business.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
