Director, Advanced TV
Position Summary
The Director, Advanced TV will work with agency buying/planning teams, clients, to develop programmatic TV/Video strategy and tactics to meet clients’ objectives leveraging data and technology. The ideal candidate will have traditional buying and/or planning background with strong management experience.
Essential Functions
• Accountable for the overall success of all client Advanced TV campaigns
• Maintain a deep understanding of Advanced TV capabilities and our clients’ business
• Build, grow, and maintain outstanding relationships with key agency client leads
• Liaise between key internal groups on each account (marketplace, research/analytics, product, operations) to insure client needs are being met
• Manage and train a team of 3 to 10 people
• Run point on internal team projects that aid in external negotiations with partners and keep team organized
• Comfortable presenting over the phone / in person and to small / large groups
• Knowledgeable about the changing landscape within Advanced TV
• Champion growth of Audience Buying across Mediabrands
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Work Experience:
• Average of 8+ years agency planning and / or buying experience
Skills:
• Extensive knowledge of TV buying (national and or local) and maintenance tools
• Understanding of digital is preferable
• Proficiency in MSFT Office (Deep experience Excel, including pivot tables and advanced functions + Highly skilled in PowerPoint)
• Strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills
• Excellent written and verbal communicator
• Extremely organized and detailed
• Outstanding relationship and business builder
• Successful operating in a regional office and effectively leveraging team-members in other geographies
• Can multi-task, prioritize, and balance time across clients, multiple partner relationships and internal initiatives on a daily basis while maintaining a profound attention to detail
• Collaborative team-player yet comfortable with independence
• Forward / innovative thinker with an ability to design / deliver within current capability, process, technology
