Job Introduction
By harnessing your digital and SEO knowledge, and understanding the needs of your client’s business, you will bring together our team of Owned and Earned specialists and lead the team to execute a best in class digital marketing strategy.
Role Responsibility
Knowing your client
• Facilitate the clients’ growth strategies with your Owned Media and Earned Media knowledge.
• Demonstrate a thorough understanding of your clients’ business and industry challenges, target audiences and measures of success.
• Immerse yourself in the client’s industry by understanding the macro and micro environment influencing the client’s results.
Managing the business
• You will ensure all work-streams and deliverables on the client are appropriately overseen and client expectations are met through the effective mobilisation of DAN people and resources at all times.
Monitor and Measure performance
• You will devise and oversee service recovery plans to address any issues that may arise with the client.
Proactive Client Development and Growth
• You will identify and seize opportunities to deliver financial goals:
◦ Providing accurate forecasts.
◦ Identifying actions to grow income streams across core and diversified.
◦ Managing underperforming revenue streams.
• Develop the commercial skills and mind-set of team to ensure they have the knowledge to scope and sell the value of all products and services.
• Where appropriate, proactively build credible relationships across DAN to identify and action cross sell opportunities that grow income.
• Use the DAN network to proactively feed contacts into new business team.
• Use outstanding client and consumer insights to package, sell and promote paid for strategic thinking, consultancy, diversified products and value add services.
• Commercial finance: You will ensure forecasting processes are delivered accurately.
• Operational Finance: You will ensure your client’s billing and payment process runs smoothly and error free, as well as leading issue resolution.
Network client team management
• You will work closely with the Owned Media and Client Leadership team to ensure that DAN network client management teams are effectively led and communicated to, and are aligned around delivering the strategic business plan, sharing best practice.
• Team resourcing: You will ensure that relevant teams under your care are fully staffed with high quality talent, identifying resource issues and working to resolve with department heads.
• Leveraging your performance knowledge, you will up-skill your account teams on how to navigate the Owned Media and wider digital performance landscape and how to better engage with the network to find solutions for client’s businesses.
• You will become the Client Leadership team’s most trusted adviser on all aspects of iProspect’s the Owned and Earned Media products and services, as well as performance strategy and innovation, in order to be the first port of call when a new challenge lands.
• You will establish strong relationships with senior industry stakeholders to build iProspect’s and DAN’s reputation in the market place.
New Business
• Lead appropriately sized new business opportunities and support network pitches.
• You will have a proactive involvement in new business within the agency, working collaboratively with stakeholders across all channels.
Planning Responsibilities
• You will ensure the planning process is delivered end to end, mobilising appropriate resources from across the Owned Media team and supporting your account directors and strategists in developing the client’s strategic, integrated, consumer focused solution to client’s challenges.
• You will ensure planning solutions are integrated into the network where appropriate and that strategic plans are effectively translated into consistently good execution in the UK and/or global markets, working closely with local leads.
The Ideal Candidate
Essential Skills:
• Understands commercial terms of the contract
• Considers all aspects of the plan from a commercial perspective and in relation to the original brief.
• General understanding of the business models and trends.
• Strong marketing, media and communications concepts, models, skills, practices, tools and frameworks.
• Excellent Owned Media knowledge.
• Holistic view on Owned, Bought and Earned (BOA) media.
• Good understanding of holistic digital media concepts, propositions, DAN digital services.
• Ability to analyse numerical data and pull out reasonable and rational conclusions to underpin innovative strategic plans.
Desired Experiences:
• Practitioner experience in Owned Media and a good basic knowledge level across the performance media landscape (Earned and Bought)
• Proven track record working on multi and single channel ecommerce clients (ideally blue-chip)
• Adept at managing data and skilled in delivering value-add insights and implications
