Who we’d like to join the team:
• We’re looking for a VP with 8+ years of experience who is passionate about creating smart, creative, award-winning work.
• We would like a team leader who is well-respected by their peers, and who has helped clients advance a business goal.
• The person must excel when working within an inter-agency structure and have the ability to serve as a strategic lead among other agency partners. In short, we’re looking for a presence that people don’t forget, especially among senior communications and marketing leaders and even a CMO or CCO.
• Preference will be given to candidates who have experience working with established Consumer Packaged Goods brands; a plus if you’ve supported (and LOVED) working with beauty, grooming or personal care brands.
• At Edelman we expect all VP candidates to take ownership of the business they support – in this case, rolling up their sleeves to understand and influence the management of their account(s), including finances, team operations, client relationships and organic growth plans.
• We want self-reliant, self-motivated and proactive people, willing to apply themselves not only to the business they are hired to lead, but also to new and exciting prospects for the Consumer Marketing practice.

Basic Qualifications:
The vice president must have at least eight years of relevant experience in public relations and/or related fields.
Preferred Qualifications:
The vice president should have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and strong understanding of how to communicate with teams and work from both client and agency sides. S/he should have a track record of leading profitable programs that have advanced client business goals. S/he should be a superb people manager and have experience successfully managing resources and budgets as well as helping win new business. S/he will be entrepreneurial and professional and have the confidence necessary to manage a team.
