The Executive Vice President:
In this role you will be responsible for accelerating the growth of Ipsos’ Social Media Exchange (SMX) practice outside of North America. This will require excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, as well as a strong understanding of social media and how it can be leveraged to support our clients. You will oversee and support SMX leads in 18 countries, while working closely with local management to ensure proper resourcing. You will also be part of the senior management team driving the future of the practice.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own all SMX community and social intelligence research design support - develop a thorough working knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research principles and methodologies, encompassing a broad range of SMX products.
• Lead in the development of annual business plans that lay out revenue and profit goals, as well as strategies and action steps for key and up and coming SMX markets.
• Maintain strong relationships with each SMX key market’s leadership (country manager, UU lead and SMX practice lead) in order to influence:
◦ SMX inclusion in proposals
◦ appropriate local resource investment
◦ appropriate training investment
• Own SMX suggested pricing. With SMX Operations support, lead online community and social intelligence pricing tools (calculators) and provide ongoing updates and analysis to defend the global organization’s operating profit.
• Lead client service competence by building and maintaining ‘best-in-class’ proposals/decks for key SMX categories, i.e. CPG, automotive, financial, etc.
• Support countries by attending key client meetings or presentations as a product expert.
• Work with finance, global leadership and operations in order to secure an Operations BU with an operating budget which is aligned with existing project work.
• Mentor and grow a team of global SMX client service professionals in order to help you reach SMX’s global objectives while helping each grow professionally within Ipsos.
REQUIREMENTS
• Experience in pricing and research product launches a plus
• Operational experience a plus
• Must be willing to travel, up to 40%
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Understanding or experience on the SMX Socialized Research Platform is a plus
• 15+ years of research experience
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
• Client service and business building with a background in strong strategic thinking and creative problem solving
• Innate desire to learn and excellent written and oral communication skills
• Background leading/inspiring teams that work collaboratively with a diverse group
• Comfortable managing a demanding and multi-faceted work load
• This global role can be based in any major Ipsos office in the US or Europe
