What We Need
MWWPR has an exciting opportunity for a Director of Marketing based in the New York, NY office, to spearhead MWWPR’s marking ventures. This position primarily involves developing and implementing short and long term strategies to strengthen market presence and to help find a “voice” that will make a difference. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, passionate professional with skills required to create unique and impactful internal and external marketing strategies that will maximize MWWPR visibility in the marketplace, generate leads, grow new business, and drive revenue.
Responsibilities:
What Is Included
• Lead executive branding strategy and thought leadership initiatives (e.g., vertical business sectors, agency specialty areas, and offices/regions
• Focus on programs and initiatives that engage B2B marketing, B2C marketing, communications, and C-Suite executives at major corporations
• Build a positive image for the agency and its capabilities via marketing and public relations campaigns, paid media, social marketing, and targeted stakeholder engagements, as well as industry/agency lists and reports
• Accountable for marketing return on investment based on established budgets and business goals
• Oversee the agency departments’ special projects, regional marketing plans, and content development, case study creation and amplification
• Coordinate activities with agency PR and business development teams; oversee internal PR team and ensure integration of marketing strategy within agency-wide communications efforts
• Manage paid marketing channels and lead-generation strategies
• Manage MWWPR CRM system and corresponding email marketing programs (targeting leads for conversion), including design, testing, tracking, and analysis
• Manage MWWPR social media channels and execute social media strategy across multiple platforms simultaneously; develop content marketing strategy around SEO, syndication, social sharing, and customer loyalty
• Participate in the planning and presentation of select new business pitches/opportunities
• Cultivate and manage partnership marketing opportunities, and oversee events and conferences
• Oversee industry awards program, from submission of entries to agency’s presence (branding, attendance)
• External Email Communications, including award wins, holiday card and agency announcements (acquisitions, practice launches, major news, etc.)
• Oversee development of all marketing collateral (i.e. 1-pagers, white papers, etc.), collaborating with practice leads, research, creative and development as needed
Qualifications:
What You Have to Have
• 7+ years of experience serving in a full-time role either in a public relations agency or the communications/marketing department of a company in the professional services industry
• Bachelor’s degree in public relations, a related field or in the liberal arts
• In-depth understanding of current marketing trends and technologies to drive reach and awareness for MWWPR’s services
• Demonstrated success in developing marketing strategies to generate brand awareness and top of mind consideration for a professional services firm
• Superior oral and written communication skills; advanced proofreading and editing ability
• Superior, demonstrated proficiency in media writing and media relations
• Demonstrated ability to draft industry award submissions that lead to wins
• Professional, client-ready demeanor and presence; keep a high standard of etiquette in all communications and interactions
• Demonstrated proficiency and affinity for digital tools and platforms
• Experience managing a CRM system is preferable
