Position Summary
This role is responsible for the management, planning and implementation of Out Of Home client strategies from initial brief to post campaign analysis. The ideal candidate will oversee the team and process to meet critical path deadlines and ensure effective client service. The role involves working with team, managing and running a portfolio of clients and implementing their OOH advertising needs.
The successful candidate will have a good understanding of account handling, the overall sector and industry. They will be a confident communicator both internally and externally and be able to use their own initiative to identify new ways of working with their clients to improve our offering while actively developing business. They must be calm under pressure and able to resolve client or team issues as and when they arise.
Essential Functions
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships through effective client service, proactive problem solving and the successful execution of all facets of account management with clients, agencies and media owners
• Manage Account Supervisor, Senior Account Executives, Account Executives and Junior Account Executives. Develop staff through performance management and giving consistent feedback. Identify with staff, developmental opportunities and help them to work toward their professional goals
• Manage and provide client service for existing accounts including: negotiating schedules and rates, monitoring schedule performance and provide planning costs and post buy analysis
• Retain and grow existing client budgets and develop new business from existing accounts
• Prepare weekly status reporting for clients
• Lead and participate in related departmental projects
• Present market updates and insight to clients and agencies
• Work with Account Director to develop and adapt servicing to meet and exceed client and agency needs, looking for ways to proactively grow the business
• Identify potential client issues and work with team to develop solutions
• Ensure planning process is being adhered to, utilizing industry tools and internal tools effectively
• Perform competitive analysis and post campaign analysis
• Ensure the AEs and Jr AEs in the team are delivering on deadlines
• Receive and develop new briefs
• Create OOH proposals and respond directly to agencies / clients (either by presenting ideas back in person or via email on PowerPoint / Excel documents)
• Plan and implement outdoor campaigns from initial brief through to post campaign analysis
• Provide consistent and thorough management for internal support to traffic each month’s campaigns, ensuring the accuracy of client specific strategic direction
• Write convincing proposals and create detailed analysis
• Show confidence in presenting to clients, agencies and peers
• Keep up to speed on all developments within the OOH market
Qualifications
Education:
• Bachelor degree in related field and/or equivalent work experience
Work Experience:
• 8+ years’ experience within either an OOH agency, or full service media agency
Skills:
• OOH knowledge across all environments
• Proven ability to maintain and grow client relationships through the delivery of superior customer service
• Previous experience in presenting to clients
• Previous experience in client facing role and account management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Desktop software, specifically: Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while managing tight deadlines
• Strong organizational and analytical skills
• Supportive team player yet confident to work under own initiative
