Objectives of the Role:
The Associate Director, Insights and Analytics role advances the understanding of online and direct marketing dynamics through developing critical business insights across our clients to increase their ROI on media investments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Exhibit strong analytical, project management, storytelling and communication skills. Manage weekly insights reporting, forecasting/pacing, and quarterly wrap up reports in in an articulate and easy-to-understand fashion that addresses strategic direction.
• Create measurement strategies, learning agendas and roadmaps with input from senior team members and internal stakeholders.
• Showcase subject matter expertise in performance marketing (direct response preferred), attribution & social
• Lead a team and manage its performance to deliver quality and timely deliverables
• Clearly define project deliverables, timelines, and dependencies for junior team members, internal stakeholders and clients.
• Provide strategic support on planning deliverables, qualitative surveys, & offline measurement strategies
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Experience leading and delivering marketing analytics engagements
• Strong communication and client service skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Passion for digital analytics, working with data and deriving insights to answer client business questions
• Strong knowledge of the digital space and digital analytics including vendors and tagging, testing methodologies and approaches
• Previous leadership experience and a proactive nature
• Cleansing, manipulating, and transforming data
• Comfort with working in and contributing to a team based environment under high pressure
• Management or mentorship of junior employees - providing training, project support, career advice and delegated responsibilities
• Candidates should have experience with the following market research and interactive tools:
◦ Required
Data manipulation and statistical tools (SQL, Excel, etc.)
Ad serving cookie level data (Mediaplex (now Conversant), Doubleclick)
Web analytics platforms (Omniture, Google Analytics, WebTrends, etc.)
Attribution (VisualIQ, Adometry, Clear Saleing, etc)
◦ Preferred but not required:
Competitive monitoring tools (Compete, Quantcast, ComScore, NetRatings, etc.)
Mobile and social measurement tools
Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree, MBA or Master’s degree in quantitative studies. The equivalent combination of education, training and work experience may be suitable
• 6+ years of work experience in a quantitative business environment
• 4+ years in marketing analytics
