WUSA*9 is in search of talented college students looking for enriching paid internship opportunities. Come join WUSA*9, the CBS affiliate in the Washington DC market and a division of Company Inc., a Fortune 500 global digital media company, for our 2015 Winter/Spring Intern Program.
As part of the WUSA*9 team, you will develop, integrate and apply various learning’s in support of our News, Online, Sports, Weather, Marketing and Sales Departments. This program offers mentoring from those at the top of their game, networking and real world experience in a fun, entrepreneurial like atmosphere. Newsroom/Assignment Desk Internship: Interns will assist assignment desk editors, reporters and producers with story research and set-up. Newsroom interns will have the opportunity to go into the field with reporters and producers and assist them on stories. Interns will also be given the opportunity to conduct interviews for stories and write for the WUSA 9 website. They will also be responsible for logging raw video from the field and assisting with our tape library. Applicants should be well versed in local, national and world events. They should also be self-starters with strong computer and writing skills.
REQUIREMENTS
• Must be pursuing Bachelor's degree with a GPA of at least 3.0
• Must be well organized, detail oriented, adaptable and flexible
• Must possess excellent communication skills
